Wow! Guia made yogurt already? I wonder how/where she got the mother yogurt. Yummmm. :) Ako naman, I bought sugar-free vanilla ice cream and topped it with sugar-loaded Masferre's blueberry preserves. Dagdag-bawas sa guilt. lol
Nag text sya pero late na ako nag reply that she had made creamy yogurt and did I want some?
Mygolly? tatanggihan ko ba ganun na grasya and food? esp since I like yogurt! I asked her also how she got the mother yogurt. Sabi nya, bumili sya ng Nestle na plain yogurt kc may sulat naman daw na may live culture. As soon as I made it back home, I grabbed the jar left by Terry sa guard, tapos ayon, binanatan ko na *looks dolefully* 1/4 na lang natira sa contents...*slurp*
Na notice ko lang parang masyadong matamis ang sa Masferre na jams and preserves. Is that to help preserve it?
Remember the bread that you and Che left behind? Naubos yon sa peanut butter and strawberry and mulberry na sandwiches!
As for your ice cream and blueberry...e walang guilt-guilt yan...good things in life ought to be savored to the fullest!
I have always loved yoghurt, but I never realized it was so easy to make at home until I found out in Sagada. Now, I am on a yoghurt-making spree, hehe. The grandkids love it, especially when eaten with fruit preserves and cereal and nuts. Pika loves it as garlic dip or dressing. Hugz is not a yoghurt fan, though.
I plan to experiment on the various recipes and ways of doing yoghurt. I started with doing just plain yoghurt made with full cream powdered cow's milk. Will experiment with full cream fresh cow's milk, carabao milk and low-fat cow's milk. Then I will try putting in honey or sugar or cream, as recommended by other recipes that I found.
Cat, get ready to be dumped with my experiments. LOL!
cge Ms. G! I volunteer! I have no objections if gawin mo akong isang dumping ground in this case...hehehe.....este...taster ng yogurt experiments mo...maging masarap naman lahat yan eh! *slurp ulit sa garapa*
ay, am intrigued anong labas ng yogurt from carabao's milk! how about goat's milk din po? mahirap ba kunin?
I've always liked yogurt too (eh Sir B, kung di kayo mahilig, mas ok, more for me..este us other folks..hahaha!) and if its paired with spicy food (like Indian etc.) all the more mas marami akong makakain pa!
too true..hence I've been concentrating my energies on traveling hereabouts...dami pa sa Luzon di ko napuntahan...for Vis-Min, though I've visited a lot already, it will be nice to see these places again to see how they have fared with the passing of years...
if may maka-suertehan ka lang makita na nag sale Joey for here to you there...buzz me...para I will try my best to come over to swish the grass skirts sa mga tao dyan..LOL
thanks Joey. keeping track of my food intake. but yes, just lesser carbo. i won't totally take away carbo food. aside that i love pasta and rice... it just won't do good without it.

Usually pag home made, mas less sweet. I guess, you are right, making it sweeter would help to preserve it.
ReplyDeleteYavol!!
ReplyDeleteSo now it's yoghurt season here at home. Gwiz has made another half gallon or so last night. The first batch was done in a jiffy.
