for one, we bumped into a relative of the Erasmos while touring the Bantayan Island museum
secondly, I did not know that Frankie, one of our gracious hosts (actually hostess kc girl si Frankie) was the daughter of our Registrar in CIT and yung head namin sa Community Theater in the same school...
tapos, my dad said upon my return may relatives pala din kami pala before sa Bantayan as well as friends...(well his memory is actually faulty these days, sometimes he remembers the old times, sometimes hindi)...
I wish I could go back to Bantayan again, even if di Holy Week..if only to savor the flavor of the town...
I can't explain it...I went inside the Bantayan church...iba ang feeling ko..it was like cocooning myself in a familiar blanket but alam ko I've never been there...its not something I experienced with the other churches, not even Sibonga (where my mom hails from)
there were processions and fiestas in Sibonga (where my mom is from) that I can vaguely recall from my younger years)...
but not on a grand scale as the carozzas I saw in Bantayan..truly a feast for the eyes...and warms the cockles of my heart...maski di ako ganon ka religious pa..
The only one who has no relative in Bantayan is moi! he he he Tapos baka may fatwa pa sa akin in the coming months when the history of the town is published by the provincial gov't. This trip was actually my saying goodbye to Bantayan.
Mommy Loy, if what you say is true, then it will be untrue...adopted daughter ka na nila kaha sa imong mga gihimo for researching and digging through Bantayan's history. Di lalim.
Am sure Rene and the others will not stop welcoming you back with open arms. *grin* *with matching plate of maruya pa sa gilid..hehehe*
