its a certification given by the Project Management Institute (PMI) :-)
The process for becoming a certified Project Management Professional involves a review of prior education and work experience followed by a written examination.
Holders of the certification may use the designation "PMP" after their names in professional correspondence and publication. Each holder of the certification must adhere to a formal code of professional conduct and accumulate a certain minimum amount of relevant experience over a period of three years starting January 1 after successfully completing the examination process.
Ang kainisan ko is the after part...to keep the certification you have to earn units and reach a certain level...e sa daming work ko (at lakad hahaha) walang oras na unless siguro I give up some of my weekends and do the work there...huhu!
supposedly PMP certified folks are hot in the US and in the project mgt world :-)
well, if I were looking for another job its like added pogi points coz I've had for some time but having 5 letters already after my name is not making me rich as Croesus
eto I've had my PMP cert for the last 2 years, pero kc dito naman ako sa Pinas, so its not really helping me except having additional letters after my name...aside from the MM earlier...so parang wala namang epek din in terms of work..though yeah you are right, pam-padag-dag sa CV...hihihi!
Di ba sa chocolates kasi, di mo alam kung ano ang nasa loob. Sa candies kasi, sa balat palang my idea ka na kung orange o lemon (and some others) ang flavor.
what's PMP? Partido ng Masang Pilipino? :)
ReplyDeleteLMAO....
ReplyDeleteheaven forbid..ayoko ng politics...

A certified PMP is of great use outside of the Philippine market. It's almost like an MBA with particular specialization on project management.
ReplyDeleteparang yun nga dilemna ko eh...
ReplyDeletekeeping it doesn't translate to earning more (to pay sa kapritso hehehe)
on second thought, cge, try ko mag volunteer, to keep kc the PMP, one has to keep earning PDUs (points or units)...malay natin one day isang araw...
ReplyDeleteThat's the spirit! You never know what tomorrow brings. Sabi nga ni Forrest, "Life is like a box of chocolate..."
ReplyDeletepagbukas mo..puro chocnut pala! or tableya...pwede rin!
ReplyDeleteAs I said, you never know...
ReplyDeletewhy chocolates kaya...bat di box of candies?
ReplyDeleteDi ba sa chocolates kasi, di mo alam kung ano ang nasa loob. Sa candies kasi, sa balat palang my idea ka na kung orange o lemon (and some others) ang flavor.
ReplyDeletenot to be facetious ha...pero with my boxes of chocolates, alam ko talaga anong nasa loob (fuera lang if pinalitan ng iba hehehe) *singhot, singhot*
ReplyDeleteThat's boring. No thrill. No mystery.
ReplyDeleteI don't think chocolates are supposed to be mysterious..
ReplyDeleteits already thrilling having a box of them in one's possession *grin*
