Fresh cherries? Wow! It must be awfully expensive there because it is not even in season here anymore. But when I was in grade school in Mindoro, they have something they called cherries which looked like a very dark cherry but the inside looked and tasted like a dark plum. That was the first cherry I knew.
they are imported of course and flown in. ....and costs the earth (to me..so please don't ask me how much, I have erased it from my memory banks for fear of going into permanent shock and mental shutdown...hehhehe)
super dami tao ngayon sa malls, sa sidewalk, sa gilid-gilid...am now more for convenience, though I can certainly appreciate the ambiance and extra flavor given if don sa downtown sidewalk vendors bilhin...
ah..that reminds me, I think they've stopped cooking it and selling these chestnuts don sa stores sa Cebu..kaya I have to buy a kilo to bring back with me for my dad...
