...began the whole train of thought. He usually texts me during weekends, telling me something obvious but which he feels he needs to emphasize - that I enjoy my weekend.

His text had been the one which woke me up in time for lunch or merienda, depending on the time you feel would be appropriate for such meals.
Then it was a series of texts afterwards all throughout the day. Hmmm...its unusual for me to have this kind of text-mode during weekends. And so, I also received at various times from Powerbooks staff, some messages telling me that my reserved books (Twilight series) have just arrived (yes, one by one)...but since I had already bought and read them while I was out of town, I had to cancel it (yes, one text at a time too).
All these text messages made me decide to watch a borrowed dvd from a friend who is avid fan of the Twilight, after all I should enjoy the weekend right? What could be more enjoyable than enjoying a movie which would not have you exercise your gray cells but just enjoy the thrill of love at first bite (if it ever came, which as it happens it does not and will not because its Book 1).
I was trying to see if the version I got had the uncut kissing scene of Edward and Bella. I turned it off after finding out its still the same as the one I saw in Singapore - with that scene abruptly stitched together, and quite different from what I had watched in New York.
Then I began thinking, although Rob Pattinson is a good-looking guy, both in Harry Potter and this movie, I was absolutely convinced that he can't compare with my and my mom's crush. Yesh! Hahaha..we both adore the same guy!
And no...its not what most people would think of when they see that sentence. We are not talking about my dad.

When I was in my pre-teen years, I actually had a huge crush on somebody who was also my mom's crush in her younger years. Weird eh? But who can blame me or her?
He is French (ah,
je't adore!), he has won awards and there's something about his clean-cut good looks that makes me think - "Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and whoever is hot nowadays? well, you guys can move over..this guy is just oozing with ooh-la-lah". I think those actors and celebrities from the earlier decades were really points ahead when it comes to today's stars, although to be fair, the latter are not also to be sneezed at.
My dad knows about this crush of both of his girls..ehem..women. In fact, when my mom saw this hard-to-find poster of this crush of ours in an out of the way restaurant located in the bowels of the older part of Cebu City, he bought and lugged the complete frame way back to the house. One time, my mom and I also saw a poster, yet unframed in an old bookstore in Cebu, and she helped me put it up - frames etc. the works. My parents are really supportive of crushes hehehe.
Now that I think about it, that frame still hangs on the head-side of my bed at my home, and the other one is buried under a bunch of bags hanging on the hooks of my room's door. I should probably revisit those and dust them off and make sure they were not gnawed by insects or rats.
As I google and look at sites featuring either a video or a series of photos paying tribute to my crush (he still is somebody I compare guys with when I see them, and yes its unfair but who can come close?), I can only hopelessly wish that one of his sons was an exact replica of him.
Then I could at least transfer my crush to somebody younger and not have to admit still feeling weak-kneed and still emitting squeals when I see the pictures of his dad when he was so much younger - urgh, I still react like a typical teenager when I think of Alain .
