OpenTable Restaurants and Restaurant Reservations

http://www.opentable.com
I was given this link sometime ago by a friend since I mentioned that if ever I go back to Sanfo or visit New York, it would be the food I'd go for first of all.

Use this for reservations.

  1. Cat, they say that you will take three years going to all the eating places in San Francisco (just the city, not including the suburbs) if you went to each just once for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. So, I guess your foodie self will have a nerve-wracking time trying to decide which place to go to during your visit, eh? =)

  2. hmm..I prefer this time to go for those places which tourists don't go much to..but which natives know is a good place to dine out :-)

  3. If you like Vietnamese food, do not miss Tu Lan on 8 6th St. (the stretch between Market & Mission Sts.). It is a hole-in-the-wall but has got high ratings from most everyone who has gone there, including Hugz and me. It is not a tourist's kind of place. In fact, if you are squeamish, do not go there alone because it is in the Tenderloin area of the city. Julia Child had gone there – that info is in their menu cover. We ordered what she did, though I would have preferred to make my own choices for the simple reason that my asian tastebuds would probably be different from that of a caucasian's (Julia Child), no matter that she is a food goddess, hehe.

We were told that this is a favorite lunch place of the journalists, photographers & newspaper folks whose offices are just nearby.

  4. Hugz and I almost always try to avoid tourist places. We love finding out where locals go to for dining and yes, shopping. Hehe, we figure we can skirt paying the tourist trap prices. But Sanfo is one big tourist place! Everything is sooo interesting.

  5. If you like Italian food, try Buca di Beppo. It is a restaurant chain and very popular with Sanfo residents (it is a favorite of Hugz's sister Nikka's family). I loved the stuffed mushrooms in creamy pesto sauce antipasti and the spinach and tomato salad with honey-roasted pecans, feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. =)

will certainly write this down and see if Kaiyen or Ish can bring me there...shempre ang uunahin kong ordering (if meron sila) is the penne arabbiata...thats what I always look for in an Italian resto and I compare the taste

  12. Hmmm, okay naman. Safe for the caucasian palate, hehe. She ordered crispy spring rolls which were similar to our lumpiang shanghai only bigger, and fish in ginger sauce which was like fish fingers in sweet chili sauce. The fried rice was very good. I could have it just by itself.

  13. complete meal na nga if masarap ang fried rice...

as for me..I would prefer eating something different ...I mean if nahilo na ako dito sa lumpiang shanghai/spring rolls/imperial rolls or whatever they wanna call it..e maghahanap ako ng iba..like duck stuffed with yams..or...cge...peking duck na nga! mwahahaha!
