in lieu of PM: CHAT with JOEY

hi Joey,

how are and your being such a good loser? *grin*

basically, tinamad na akong hanapin san yng lumang PM natin when I was in Cinci and talking about travelling to Hawaii afterwards, so eto..blog na, hahaha!

could you please give me your address coz I will be googling fare and hotel packages sa internet ngayon to see how much and where I should book myself ..marami yatang Honolulu eh...tingnan ko sa week of April 4 kc off na kami till April 12...

kc kanina nakita ko mga 1700 and upwards na sa fare lang..was trying to see how I could scale it down once I pair it with accomodations...or how many days would be enough para masabi ko I've zipped around Hawaii na. and tasted its food...mmm...

    still having problems with intermittent connection with my DSL..so eto, pasulpot-sulpot...

    hmmm..Pleasant Hawaiian sounds pleasant..hehehe..pero pang US lang yata na trips eh..coz their airports seem to be those listed in the US..couldn't find from Manila...

    as for your situation, my impression naman is that you are still so much better off than some Americans in the US now..with your children grown up, and the missus also having her own income, teka..is the real estate industry there greatly affected sa Hawaii?...

    wag mong sabihin mag-grand vacation ka till April..hehe..am sure umiikot na utak mo ngayon at naka-set-up na partially or not, some idea you may have planned out..

    Ok nga yun, pero mataas ang mortgage payments. We will down size when we are ready. Pag tumama siguro kami sa Lotto, babayaran ko na lang itong bahay ng full, then wala na kamong problema.

    Hopefully, 2009 will be a huge turn around for Myra's real estate business. She is slowly starting to pick up business again.

    As for the future, I've got some plans laid out. I'll tell you more about it when you get here.

    thanks Joey....para ngang lumaki mata ko ...but that 2K plus was actually airfare and hotel from april 4 to 10 or 11...ngak..yata dito nalang ako sa Mactan Island...hehhe..

    hay naku, I couldn't find again the PM yung nagkwento tayo about yung kay Margot.

    anyway, the other day I called the home number, no answer.

    kc nasa labas ako at maingay, nag text na rin ako...walang sagot din

    today, I was so busy, byt the time I remembered, ala 1 na ng umaga..hehe..so di ko rin matawagan sa cellphone...

    but promise, naka bookmark na yan sa utak ko and I will keep you posted if I am able to contact her and get the details..

    busy to the max si Sir B...aside from Mt. Pulag (?) climb..this week nandon sila Bali..

    they almost met up with Helene sa SIngapore this week, pero kc walang ticket makuha so dumiretso na sa Bali sila..and I think mauwi yun siguro 22 this month..

    Yep, Sir B texted me before, na sa 22nd daw sila balik dito sa Pinas...

    ....text ako when I got back from Singapore, gusto ko na kc ibigay sa kanila yung pinadala ni Helene at yung pasalubong ko for them...e diosme, inaalikabok na to dito..hahahaha!

    ilang beses di kami magkatugma sa sked...so before they set off sana, but I was out naman coz they didn't say what time sila punta...naghanap kc rin ako ng ma-transferan na lugar at mahal namahal na dito sa tinitirhan ko...

    anyways, nag text kanina si Sir B ng joke..kaya ayon..nasa Pinas na nga...:)

    well, baka hindi mahal sa mga may pera..hahaha..meaning relatively speaking lang...

    hmm..let's see...an approximately 24 square meter FA furnished condo in the condo I have (which is not even new ha..kc older condo na to) is like going for 16K PHP...but some people tell me thats cheap, considering the building is directly across Greenbelt 5 na...

    BSA tower I think had a friend of mine who I bumped into before..sabi nya 1 BR daw tapos silang 2 ng hubby nya...26K PHP yata...

    you'd think an unfurnished is half the price? nope...more like 3/4 siguro...tapos some I know di pa included association dues...

    Thanks for the info. So roughly, mga $400 to $650 a month. I have no idea how much rent is there. Dito rin mahal. 1BR condo is around $900 to $1800 depends on the location. It is all about location.

    Kung kaya mo nang bumili, why not just do it. That way your money is not going down the drain. Yung loan interest mo pwede mong i-write off sa taxes mo pag nag file ka.

    Good luck in looking for a new pad. Pag umuwi ako dyan, crash ako sa condo mo...he he he...Only joking.

    I have already brought a pre-selling studio unit sa Serendra (Ayala ang developer)...mga 2012 pa yata matapos...

    the reason I'm looking for something cheaper is that this year, mag kick in na bank loan ko for that property...as well as nag rent pa ako...e wala dito na gusto ko i-rent-to-own na ok sa akin ang location...I really would like to lease or rent to own para di masayang ang aking rent..but the buildings I've asked do not have anything available..

    merong rent to own, malayo naman..di maganda ang location...

    no problem with crashing sa condo ko..if meron na akong malaking lugar sana..waaah..I can't even invite my parents to come here often kc after 2 days of being in such an enclosed space as the one I have now (maganda ang location though, harap ng GB5)..sumasakit na ulo namin..hehehe..

    ganda nga sana 1 BR or 2BR..but its horribly expensive...

    naku, the way things are going here, with me just relying on my salary, unless something changes, baka nandon na ako sa Cebu ulit at nagtatanim ng kamote...grrrr...

    argh..I wish I had alternative means of livelihood..pero super busy with work already, I can't think san ako maghahanap ng oras or energy...am getting too old for this sort of thing..gusto ko na mag-retire and just snooze..and multiply..hehehe..

    I decided on Serendra kc at that time I was thinking ok naman ang risk...the developer is Ayala, ok ang lugar, pwede mag bank loan..and hopefuly may increase na ako at the time the bank loan would roll around..

    as you know, decrease nga labas..di increase...ngork!
