Very cool!! LOVETTTTE!!!
ReplyDeletegaling!
ReplyDeletevery nice. frame it Cat!
ReplyDeleteyeah I got an invitation of this shetch on FB but did not follow up.
ReplyDeletebut this very nice.
Cool. I like it and I agree with Skyriver911 above, you should frame it!
ReplyDeleteAyos ha! : )
ReplyDelete:-) thank goodness for software!!
ReplyDeleteyep, in Facebook you can try it out...
ReplyDeletebtw, this is the light version..there's a medium and dark one, which results in thicker or darker lines...try it :-)
ReplyDeletetry it out for your pic of you and the mrs...:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ted...I shall try it once I print it...
ReplyDeletehehehe...thank you for the picture :-) if that wasn't there I'd have no sketch to speak of ...
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see how the other photos would look with this process.
ReplyDeletehmm...how about a sketch from you also? *wink*
ReplyDeleteNay. Kailangang mag-practice pa.
ReplyDeletehmm...question po...comparing sketching from a picture, versus sketching based on a live model...is the former easier?
ReplyDeleteSketching from a picture is a lot easier than sketching live. For one, the model, even if she is good, cannot possibly hold a pose for a long time. Second, the artist himself must fix his view or perspective of the model to transpose it on paper or canvass. Dito napupunta ang husay ng artist. Since he cannot copy the scene as he sees it kasi nga nagiiba ng kaunti, he must be able to do the composite in his mind and, ergo, on the surface.
ReplyDeleteThere are different portraitures to be clear about it. We have, for instance, the works of the departed Onib Olmedo. Very grotesque, very distorted. But somehow he is able to capture the personality of the subject, subjectively. : ) There are the interpretation of BenCab that are rather soft but dynamic, truer to the picture as an ordinary viewer sees it.
ReplyDeleteCat, ang galing naman nito. Can this person do my head shot? I am really interested.
ReplyDeletehehe..Joey..galing lang yan sa photo mo...software gumawa nyan...so any picture kaya :-)
ReplyDeletehmm...unless ang model siguro natutulog and dead to the world, not even moving one inch for at least an hour...hahaha!
ReplyDeletethis would be really good if masama mo sketches in your bday celebration and show *wink, wink*
for me I like truer to the picture, but I guess if the artist also knows the person a bit more, meron din silang interpretation added to the final portrait...
ReplyDeleteMga super luma meron. But you are giving me an idea. Hmmm.
Nahihirapan kasi with standing or seating poses. My friend Nona, who is the head of the Bay Area Models' Guild, says that invariably the models that they end up with are either dancers or athletes. That is because they have the stamina to hold difficult poses. Standing still for 5 or 10 minutes is very difficult. What more if you twist your body, hold your chin up, etc.
ReplyDeletedouble hmmmm...*lightbulb flashes*
ReplyDelete*imagines if naka-pretzel position*
ReplyDeleteThat is what our model in Berkeley did. Standing up, legs apart parang astride, twisted her body, chin up, looked far away. And she held it for 10 minutes!
ReplyDeletehmm...waaah! grabe...I can't even sit still for 5 seconds...
ReplyDeletebasig bituk na. : )
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeletemy dad would agree with you *wink*
Anong tawag sa software na yon?
ReplyDeleteam not sure..I mean, I know its an app in Facebook..which I just clicked on when I was inside...if you are in FB...add me..and I can try sending it to you from there..
ReplyDeleteNasa FB din ako. Pero bihira akong mag log in. Ikaw, anong ID mo?
ReplyDeletehi Joey,

I think you may need to approve my adding you though..
Sige, Pag nag log in ako I will approve you.
ReplyDeletehaha..I don't also enter FB that much...
ReplyDeleteDi ko pa gamay ang FB. I should log in more often para masanay just like here on Multiply.
ReplyDeleteI don't think FB is useful to those who are not always online....parang pang-chat yata eh...
ReplyDeletesomeone sent me mine too in FB! will post it too.
ReplyDeletecool Meann! the more the many-er ika nga...haha!
ReplyDeleteI chose the light one..kc yung medium and dark, parang nakakatakot na ah.*grin*

Ozzie, have you already added me sa FB?
