As usual, as an orphan (i.e. solo in Philippines for my team), I happily signed up if only to see the place. Honestly though, I almost chickened out when I thought of my unfamiliarity with the area, my late work on Friday night and the things I still had to do this weekend.
Fortunately, I think I've got transpo and it would be nice to get some pics in if I remember to prepare for it.

ReplyDeletewhat I am telling you is that although pagasa hasn't officially declared that it is rainy season, it is already raining everyday. do you know why the area is called diliman (near it anyway)? because it is one of those quirky geographical spots, like mount makiling and tagaytay, where hot air condenses quickly into clouds and into rains.

Actually, am now feeling lazy because of the early morning hours and am still up..however if I do take pictures, I hope it won't rain as my waterproof cam is out of commission :-(

ReplyDeletewow! taga nova ako at di pako napupunta dyan..grabe kailangan makita ko yan.nun elementary pa ako nagpupunta kme madalas dyan sa lamesa dam at dyan kme nag suswimming sa original pool un luma. so meron na pala ecopark..salamat cat sa info..one of these days need ko pumunta dyan..maulan sa parteng nove fairview at mag lugar na malapit sa dumpsite..gudluck cat..enjoy...

ReplyDeleteI did push thru in going there on Saturday, and it was a bit hot..well, not hot-hot as in stove- or desert-hot..but hot as in not a wisp of wind was stirring the leaves of the trees...
participate in a game or so (my golly, I think some amateur photographers got our pictures when the pink group I was in was running about tied together like a bunch of asparagus by garters from one station to another...
in the end, I was sweating like nobody's business, my leg muscles ached (no exercise in climbing) and my tongue was lollling out...
ikaw, gimik? you can't wake up early..hahaha!

ReplyDeleteonce in a while visiting a place like this is nice...hence even if I was tempted to not go with them, I had triple alarms so I could really hitch a ride to visit it.
funnily enough I didn't get any mosquito bites at all...
but there were a lot of trees, and tho there was no breeze, it was enjoyable...I wish the orchids and the flowers had orchids and flowers if you get what I mean...
Marie, I have an idea, why don't we go back there one of thse days (after June or July) and try the calesa ride and horseback-riding..wala na akong time kc gusto ko mag hitch ng ride pauwi so di na ako nag linger..

anyway, nakakatuwa...when you enter the La Mesa EcoPark, aba..meron pa syang mga vines-vines hanging over the entrada, di ko lang nakuhan ng picture, pero may shape ma sya na parang "u" ehehe...
well, I'd probably be posting pics around July yet...either those from my Cebu trip, or the La Mesa sortie...
