its not sci-fi..hehe..fantasy adventure would be just the right term....its a combination of myths and legends from different countries....
fun and witty dialogue, great action...set in NZ...did I mention before I always wanted to visit New Zealand because of this show? way, way back, even before they did filming for LOTR in NZ :-)
the show certainly has its share of fans who think that way...
I dunno...I just enjoy it as is without thinking too much if her repartee with Gabriel means something else *wink*...enjoying it for the pure fun that its writers come up with in weaving all those Greek myths with other gods, goddesses and legendary figures...
I read a story before, way back in high school, and one of the characters mentioned that it was like Eden with no mosquitoes...hence I was thrilled :-)
the leading actress is Lucy Lawless...but what really gets me sometimes is the kitchiness of some of the show's eps..hehehe..
I'm fond of mga fantasy sci-fi movies and shows...yung mga ala Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Star Trek, Farscape, and yung mga set in places where there are dragons, magic, wizards etc. But I am more for adventure..for example, I may watch Alien and Predators, but its a different set of enjoyment from when I watch the other sub-categories of fantasy films...
am going to wait for your review Chito...it certainly helps me save my precious pesos ..on whether its good enough to go to the theater or dyan lang sa gilid-gilid..ehem...
Why don't you try going blind, so to speak, on this one? Just the prospect of it is already very exciting. Just imagine driving in the dead of night in a strange and deserted road...with your headlights off, hahahaha...that will surely get your adrenalin going!
I am planning to downgrade my plan to save some more money...e baka may makita pa akong ibang channel, di ko na gagawin ang downgrade ko...tsk..tsk...I don't want to be tempted...
in fact, I don't want to downgrade coz Cinemax has True Blood..*sobs* but what can I do, practicality must win for people like me who work hard for their salary (na kulang pa..hehehe)....I wish I can be a student again sometimes..pero come to think of it, it was so difficult getting allowance also out of my father, na parang it seems the same...mwahahaha!
