one time naka-decide na ako sa Olympus Pen..tapos isip ko..hmm..mas ok ang LX3 pero medyo mahal...so isip ko cge DSLR ng Pentax na lang...at least ok pa sa budget, tapos I will just buy Nikon later when medyo serious na talaga ako...
next thing you know, SIr B texted me, na dapat Nikon na daw..kaya ayon...*throws paper with the camera names into the sky and watches which one falls first...*
comprehensive nga reviews nila (some tech stuff di ko na binasa, direct to the conclusion section na lang) and I saw this actually before the Camera Haus folk told me to try it out...
btw Joey, yung LX-3 walang parang stitching for panoramic shots right? parang may settings for the aspect ratio ba yon?
conflicts for now (parang movie review hehehe)
1) credit card na zero installment (12 to 18 months) versus probably lower prices if sa Hidalgo but cash out naman 2) buy cheaper DSLR then or invest now in a good Nikon or Canon (kc magagamit naman lenses ...hmm..yung Nikon film cam ni Daddy baka pwede ko nang gamitin lenses non) 3) wait for newer models to come out so that the cams am looking now will decrease in price or bahala na and get what I like 4) camera or kain/travel? \(^_^)/
Cat, I am telling you again, the old Nikon lenses work on the new digital SLR cams. You just have to set everything in Manual Mode. Obviously with the old lenses, manual focusing is the only choice. Exposure, use the sunny 16 approach and bracket your shots. e.g. At ISO 100, on a bright sunny day, set your shutter speed to 1/125 and f-stop at f-16. If it is cloudy, set your f-stop at f-5.6 or f-8.0. My experience with digital is, I get a better image by under exposing a little bit. White balance is also manual.
If you can find somebody selling a used Nikon DSLR body, so much the better. Mas cheaper pa. Maybe Boboy can help you find one.
I hope you find some old hasselblad, rollei, leicas in your dad's cabinet. I also hope they were kept dry and sealed from the moisture and elements there. Sige, post mo yung mga photos mo.
oh yes, I've decided...I've decided to wait some more until my Fujifilm gives its last gasp...then if wala pa rin..gamitin ko Nikon ni Daddy..maski film..ehehe...
Thanks for sharing CatH
