When I want a dose of modern Pinoy music (and others) I make sure to check Mark's site! Here's to Pinoy bands!
....so aside from bookmarking, since I noticed that he shares his playlists to "Everyone" am also putting up a link here and hope my contacts (younger or older) may discover and enjoy the varied songs he has shared..
thanks Mark, hope you get better soon!

I had a jolly time listening to Kamikazee's Long Time Noisy...headbanging mood ako..
ReplyDeleteang babaw ng kaligayan ko...imagine ni-replay ko yung Balutin Mo Ako 4 times at least...wala na yata akong magawa...LOL
who wants a walk down memory lane (sa pagkabata ng younger generation ngayon?)
ReplyDeletetry this...nostalgic..hihihi!
http://mdizon74.multiply.com/music/item/1/Old_School_Themes
I'll try this next..thanks cuh!
ReplyDeletehi Nonz..
ReplyDeletefor those who may be out of the country for a long time, baka di na nila naabutan tong iba...but...
you can be updated with Pinoy rock bands...hehehe..even if di ka mahilig..
I listened to the interview with Borgy Manotoc..wow ang ganda ng speaking voice niya..as bright as the mom..di lang magand ang reputation ni Imee..heeh..well maybe we really didn't get to know her, only her mom and dad..
ReplyDeletewell, I saw him once or twice on tv...the last time I think he was one of the hosts of a beauty pageant..matangkad na bata...ehehehe
ReplyDeletekala ko may pinoy indiepop. wala pala. ngek
ReplyDeleteam not that familiar with the particular groups you are referring to...try natin request if may kilala ba sya or mapagkunan...
ReplyDeleteaha..yung mga ganito ba -
soft pillow kisses
carnival park
apple orchard
the lubitels
ReplyDeleteay, churi po..di ko kabisado yan...which..basing from your comment above, di ko alam if its a relief or not..hahah!
ReplyDeletejok lang. hehe
ReplyDeletee kinulit ko si Mark if meron ba syang indie-pop (I didn't even know what it was)...I tried listening to one (yung Soft Pillow Kisses yata if I remember correctly)...not bad naman..in fairness...
ReplyDeletei wikipedia mo for an apt description. pagkatapos ng new wave/post punk era,ive been into indiepop (which originated in UK) for the past 2 decades na ata. i prefer this genre than alternative rock. I love how the brits, scots, and currently swedish bands make indiepop music. although of course the americans followed suit afterwards. yung mga pinoy at hapon di naman pahuhuli. theyre always in the know.
ReplyDeletemy current pinoy indie fave is moscow olympics. they make beautiful, dreamy shoegaze (oopss, heres another word for you to google) music in the mold of new order, the wake and blueboy. mas sikat ata sila sa mga swedish at brits kesa sa pinas
ReplyDeletehmm...*listahan ng dapat go-google-in* hehehe
ReplyDeletedo you post songs like that sa site nyo po para ma-tikman din naming mga newbies (kagaya ko lang....)
cath, altho puede ako mag-post ng indiepop sa site ko, i suggest you go to my online buddy dale marquez's site, some gorgeous accident @multiply. Dale is from the band apple orchard. the band is based in San Francisco, Sa site nya marami naka-upload na indiepop music. sa katunayan may mga foto posts sya with some of his fave bands like camera obscura, the postmarks (2 of my fave girl fronted bands). make friends with dale. hes an ok guy. mabait
ReplyDeletecge po..try ko when Multiply finishes their move..grr..I've been trying to play some playlists...walang success...
ReplyDeleteso puntahan ko that site late December tapos tingnan ko...
you know, it amuses me...ganon talaga mag intro mga tao...ito si Ding - mabait..ito si Bruno, mabait...ahahaha...
its only because I remember back in the old days..when a couple of girlfriends asked another friend about a guy...tinanong ba naman pointblank if guapo daw...siguro it was so automatic - ang reply nya = ah..si {insert name of guy here}, ok sya..mabait...*wink*
