there is a range of Panasonic Lumix cameras from $250-350...very good P&S!
ReplyDeleteHeed Dr Phil's advice, Cat.
ReplyDeleteaabot lang ng mga 20K PHP yang LX-3 na yan dito sa Pinas this year......naku...*stretches hand upwards and tiptoes and even stretches neck*
ReplyDeletecheck out panasonic DMC ZS7, $350 on Amazon...grabe zoom niya, 12MP...good reviews.
ReplyDeleteI actually had my eye already on the LX-3 when Joey gave me the goods on it before..ang kaso lang..ehehe...butas ang pocketbook *wink*
ReplyDeletelx3 takes great vivid colors, easy settings w/c is super, parang mini prof.camera...downside is no zoom.
ReplyDeletei got my lx3 last aug in Singapore for 19K, + 8gb SD card....so it should even be cheaper now!
a little bit..for here in the Phils...as I noted in another post..mga 25 to 26K sya, sale this Jan 2010 :-)
ReplyDeleteyeyyyy!!! thats wonderful news=)
ReplyDeleteYou are ready to go!!!
ReplyDeletepwede pa naman si Mr. Fujifilm ko (hahaha, I refer to them a my boyfriends kc sama-sama sa trips)
ReplyDeletenakupo..naisip ko that I have only been slowly posting albums recently about Mindoro, Puerto Princesa, Cebu, Sagada, and Bantayan..tapos eto ulit...*grin*
ReplyDeletebtw, Che and Sir B...maybe you would like to share pics na pwede sa OneAsean group ulit?
....ako nag-double post na rin don eh for my trips..malay may ma interest tumingin sa Cebu or Pinas :-)
have u posted d sagada trip?cg pag di na ako busy hehe
ReplyDeletepapunta na sana to post about Sagada..but am sort of preparing for a trip tomorrow to 9Waves sa Rizal...
Do you really need to keep three cameras?
ReplyDeletewell, one is waterproof, so its very useful for me..personally I think a camera that is waterproof, shatter or impact-proof and cat-proof is suited to me *wink*
ReplyDeleteone is good for night shots, the other is good for panoramic...I've not yet found a camera (which I can afford) which is good in all three
I'm sure there are several out there.
ReplyDelete"night shots, the other is good for panoramic"...get the LX 3, perfect for wide shots & very low light conditions!
ReplyDeletewhich reminds me..been meaning to ask...its weird you mentioned..walang zoom?
ReplyDeleteit does but very limited..it may disappoint you....images i take from lx3, though thru its high resolution, you can crop & still get a well focused image....but indoors, low light, night shots...the best!
ReplyDeletewhy dont you go to a camera shop with an Lx 3, try taking a foto in zoom, & you'll see what i mean...a friend of mine is suggesting i sell my lx3 & get another lumix,
ReplyDeleteGF 1, checking it out now, looks great, but have to see/find out if takes night shots like an lx3...will show you some night shots with lx3.

ReplyDeletetaken on a pre set setting on the camera, night scenery, no flash, no tripod.
Three digital cameras that are shockproof, waterproof, coldproof, 12 MP, 28-140 mm zoom lens, image stabilization, and all under $350:
ReplyDelete1. OLYMPUS Stylus Tough-8000
2. PENTAX Optio W80
3. CANON PowerShot D10
These are affordable pocket-sized, rugged, point-and-shoot cameras that'll give good quality photographs. Check them out at your local camera store.
pass na ako sa Olympus BNK...meron na akong Olympus u850sw....and I bought it in Japan..and it was a disappointment - starting from the batteries, to the design of the camera's battery cover...
ReplyDeletetatlo na kaming meron ganito and all of us had problems with it...
sa Canon..ayan...either that or Lumix as Joey and Dr. Philip said....
madali lang naman mag decide eh..ang pera lang ang iniisip isip sa budget because of some new developments coming my way which would mean I have to tighten my belt a little bit more...
i'm going to hk,next week, a friend told me to get the lumix gf1...sabi ko binigyan niya ako ng problema...magandang problema...if i do get it, i'd sell my lumix to you if you like, terms...it even has an extra battery and an original leather case....but only if i get a new ca...i feel stupid though even considering buying one...all i want is a new lens for my nikon...but i read about the gf 1, and am salivating...ay nasan ang napkin...
ReplyDeletebut..how about reviews for the gf 1? convinced na po kayo talaga?
I actually tried the LX3 already...I bought my spare SD card tapos when it was on sale, I popped the sd card and tried out a few shots...ganda nga ng color..:-)
ReplyDeletewell the descriptions in amazon are great...it also shoots at very low light, same as lx3, diff.is it has interchangeable lens.ay dagdag gastos!
ReplyDeletevery nice colors and clarity :-)
ReplyDeleteactually basta ma-set lang ng ayos ang aking humble V803 na Kodak...ok din ang kanyang night scenes...panoramic na manual stitching on the spot...here's one of the better examples I can recall:
http://cuh888.multiply.com/photos/album/246/The_Terraces_Dinner_Hukad#photo=63
Sabi mo kasi gusto mo yung waterproof, shockproof kaya I narrowed it down to those three cameras. The Lumix is NOT waterproof, it's also pricier.
ReplyDeletetrue on the LX-3...
ReplyDeletehay, matagal pa yata na nandon lahat sa isang camera..I guess I can't be satisfied with just one, the way its going now..they will always be developing products catered to a particular segment...
Meron akong lumang Nikon film camera na water proof. It is a range finder with a f2.8 35 mm lens. It is called the Nikon Action Touch Camera. It's a great little camera. Here are some links:

I heard about Nikons na waterproofs...di ba yun ang Nikonos?
ReplyDeleteYes, Nikonos. but mine is different. It is the Nikon Action Touch and it is a point and shoot film camera.
ReplyDeleteDid you check the links I sent you?
hi Joey...sorry not yet...am in the middle of posting albums in my site and another group :-)
ReplyDeleteam trying to sort my overdue photographs...
No problem. Whenever you have the time. You'll be surprised and amazed what this old camera can do. I just brought mine out and I am going to try it again when I get some films.
ReplyDeleteI promise to check them out...even if di ako makabili or makaari ng ganon :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, it is just to keep you informed of it. You'll never know when you will run into one and if you do and the price is good, grab it.
ReplyDeletecge, ipamana mo sa akin...mwahaha!
ReplyDeleteIsipin ko muna...LOL.
ReplyDeleteTeka muna, nakita mo na ba yung link?
ReplyDeletenope..you will know nakita ko ang links na kc for sure may comment ako nyan dito...alam mo naman ako, nagprapractice maging commentator...hehehe...
