On a roll for camera repairs: my Fujifilm Finepix's battery cover is fixed (I can now throw away rubber bands and packing tapes), then my Kodak V803's powerboard is replaced (I can now go back to manual panoramic stitching). So its just my Olympus waterproof left. Gotta save up again.

  5. lx3 takes great vivid colors, easy settings w/c is super, parang mini prof.camera...downside is no zoom.

i got my lx3 last aug in Singapore for 19K, + 8gb SD card....so it should even be cheaper now!

  14. well, one is waterproof, so its very useful for me..personally I think a camera that is waterproof, shatter or impact-proof and cat-proof is suited to me *wink*

one is good for night shots, the other is good for panoramic...I've not yet found a camera (which I can afford) which is good in all three

  15. "night shots, the other is good for panoramic"...get the LX 3, perfect for wide shots & very low light conditions!

    ReplyDelete
  16. which reminds me..been meaning to ask...its weird you mentioned..walang zoom?

    ReplyDelete
  17. it does but very limited..it may disappoint you....images i take from lx3, though thru its high resolution, you can crop & still get a well focused image....but indoors, low light, night shots...the best!

  18. why dont you go to a camera shop with an Lx 3, try taking a foto in zoom, & you'll see what i mean...a friend of mine is suggesting i sell my lx3 & get another lumix,
GF 1, checking it out now, looks great, but have to see/find out if takes night shots like an lx3...will show you some night shots with lx3.

  20. pass na ako sa Olympus BNK...meron na akong Olympus u850sw....and I bought it in Japan..and it was a disappointment - starting from the batteries, to the design of the camera's battery cover...

tatlo na kaming meron ganito and all of us had problems with it...

sa Pentax...pass na rin ako..may Pentax na kc ako although film cam (hahaha..para yatang nagkokolekta ako ng camera ano?)

sa Canon..ayan...either that or Lumix as Joey and Dr. Philip said....

madali lang naman mag decide eh..ang pera lang ang iniisip isip sa budget because of some new developments coming my way which would mean I have to tighten my belt a little bit more...

  21. i'm going to hk,next week, a friend told me to get the lumix gf1...sabi ko binigyan niya ako ng problema...magandang problema...if i do get it, i'd sell my lumix to you if you like, terms...it even has an extra battery and an original leather case....but only if i get a new ca...i feel stupid though even considering buying one...all i want is a new lens for my nikon...but i read about the gf 1, and am salivating...ay nasan ang napkin...

    ReplyDelete
  22. hahaha! am tempted to say, cge, bumili na kayo sa gf 1 (parang girlfriend 1 ang dating ah?)

but..how about reviews for the gf 1? convinced na po kayo talaga?

btw, eto po yung towel..maliit yata ang napkin e...

  23. I actually tried the LX3 already...I bought my spare SD card tapos when it was on sale, I popped the sd card and tried out a few shots...ganda nga ng color..:-)

    ReplyDelete
  24. well the descriptions in amazon are great...it also shoots at very low light, same as lx3, diff.is it has interchangeable lens.ay dagdag gastos!

    ReplyDelete
  25. very nice colors and clarity :-)

actually basta ma-set lang ng ayos ang aking humble V803 na Kodak...ok din ang kanyang night scenes...panoramic na manual stitching on the spot...here's one of the better examples I can recall:

  26. Sabi mo kasi gusto mo yung waterproof, shockproof kaya I narrowed it down to those three cameras. The Lumix is NOT waterproof, it's also pricier.

  27. true on the LX-3...

hay, matagal pa yata na nandon lahat sa isang camera..I guess I can't be satisfied with just one, the way its going now..they will always be developing products catered to a particular segment...

  28. Meron akong lumang Nikon film camera na water proof. It is a range finder with a f2.8 35 mm lens. It is called the Nikon Action Touch Camera. It's a great little camera. Here are some links:

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes, Nikonos. but mine is different. It is the Nikon Action Touch and it is a point and shoot film camera.

Did you check the links I sent you?

  31. hi Joey...sorry not yet...am in the middle of posting albums in my site and another group :-)

am trying to sort my overdue photographs...

    ReplyDelete
  32. No problem. Whenever you have the time. You'll be surprised and amazed what this old camera can do. I just brought mine out and I am going to try it again when I get some films.

  33. I promise to check them out...even if di ako makabili or makaari ng ganon :-)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, it is just to keep you informed of it. You'll never know when you will run into one and if you do and the price is good, grab it.
