Guitarra 2010

Location:     Philamlife Auditorium, Manila, Philippines for the concerts
The University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines holds its first international guitar festival.

Lectures, masterclasses, workshops and concerts will be imparted by a roster of Filipino and international guitarists/artists. Premieres of works for solo guitar and guitar ensemble by Bayani de Leon, Angel Peña, Agustin Castilla-Avila will also be heard during the festival.

    hi Mar!

    yes, I went with Sir B and Ms G yesterday night...luckily they picked me up coz it was raining and grabeng traffic din papunta don...and there we met up with Vic..

    there was a lot of ribbing and there were also young ones (students siguro ng UST)...first time na fez to fez hearing classical music (usually kc cd lang or sa internet)...

    yes, the comment I posted above was the program for yesterday night..we started 8 pm and finished up around 2.5 hours later...nandon din si Angel Peña...wow at 80 plus years of age, amazing to think some of the pieces were done before WW2...!

    I started to play the guitar when I was in grade 5 kc na-sign up sa Guitar Club, I still have my guitar in my parent's house, but sadly I confess I've not picked it up again...

    but maybe if I have time, I will set aside not just the time but money for more formal na lessons - in fact I prefer it over playing the piano...for some reason I prefer hearing stringed instruments like violin, guitar etc. over others...

    hi Joey,

    I warn you beforehand lang..I only brought my small kodak with me (thinking that baka bawal mag bitbit) so not the best quality at may clicks pa...:-)

    however, with software, baka maclean up mo on your side when you get the raw files..or baka you can get better videos kc may official yata nag record eh..

    I will try to post a sample or two here later..
