Busy busy busy! It seems like a productive way to spend your time.
ReplyDeletehi Ted,
ReplyDeleteI think I've not lucked out with this kind of multi-tasking...I can't remember most of the language lessons..hehehe!
Hi Cat...work has been keeping me busy these days...haaaay......glad to see you multitasking my dear!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry to hear that. Which language are you studying?
ReplyDeleteI was trying to refresh my very basic Japanese lessons (Japanese 1 only)...
ReplyDeletesee before I used the a photocopied Minna no Nihonggo..and only reached lesson 10 :-)
so I said, maybe I will go faster with just audio and Pimsleur......
hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteam glad to see you are back to your usual self...last time I think I saw you were still feeling poorly...
lots of Vit B and C :-)
And what language is that you're trying to learn, girl?
ReplyDeletehi Mommy Loy,
ReplyDeleteam reviewing my basic Japanese lessons :-) para daw kuno preparado na gamay sa Japan if it pushes thru...hay...pero nasa huna-huna ra gyod...by the time I wake up, I forget half the things I read...tsk..tsk..oldie na akong memory cells...
You really are a good traveller, preparing yourself even with the language of a place you plan to visit. I kinda do something of that sort.
ReplyDeleteif I had the brain capacity for it..I'd learn more and more languages...I think its one of the things aside from knowing and reading about the culture of a people that makes me enjoy a trip more....
ReplyDeleteI see people whose eyes light up at hearing obvious foreigners who greet them even just a basic good morning...kinda makes me happy too (maski baluktot ang pronunciation)
wag lang Latin..di ko kaya yan..LOL
That's great Cat.
ReplyDeleteI think one appreciates the place better if they can speak the language and communicate with the natives.
Dapat natuto ka kay father habang lumalaki ka..he's a pure japanese di ba??
ReplyDeleteagree Mar....more at home ako if ganon :-)
ReplyDeleteeh? father? hahaha...walang Jap blood on either side of my parents Kuya Rom...
ReplyDeleteactually, in WW2, my maternal grandpa was executed at the hands of Japanese soldiers....tossed into the sea with a big stone weighing him down...
Japanese is a tough language to learn.
ReplyDeleteactually, am more afraid of Mandarin...*cowers in a corner*
ReplyDeleteIt's easier. I picked up way more Mandarin in one year of study than I did in my first year of studying Japanese.
ReplyDeleteIt is said that Japanese is the most difficult language for native English speakers to learn.
really? but...I have problems with thinking about the different types of pronouncing even one syllable...
ReplyDeleteSabi mo lang yan. Nasa subli na mga yan. They will kick in as soon as you start to speak them with somebody.
ReplyDeleteTalagang naghahanda ka na for your November trip ha!
ReplyDeleteoy..parang hint na to na ako lang yata ah....
ReplyDeletedi ba kayo matutuloy ni Ms G?
well, my vocabs is not so bad...but when I string them to try and form a coherent sentence...its like I reverted back to caveman days.....
ReplyDeleteme apple..eat
sake..drink I
how much ramen?
ooppps sorry my mistake!!
ReplyDeleteintsik and spanish meron po...no worries...
ReplyDeleteWhat travel agency did you go to for your Japanese visa?
ReplyDeletethis time dun ako sa Universal Holidays sa Hotel Dusit..
ReplyDeletecoz thats where I also buy my JR Pass...
last time kc it was just Php 500 for my Japan visa pero wala na yung travel agency which used to take care of HP's travelling..hay...
text or ping me if you need the list of what they want, I can email you...at saka parang madali lang sila...
btw, as a P.S. ang bilis...I gave my papers yata this Wed..and now I just received a text from UH that it was released...
