ReplyDeletewaaah.....
did you check out the link? for a cause pa ito...
Climb for A Cause PULAG
May 21-22 weekend
To benefit the students of Kamaggaan Elementary School in Tikey, Bokod, Benguet.
Mount Pulag (or sometimes Mount Pulog) is the third highest mountain in the Philippines.... next to Mount Apo and Mount Dulang-Dulang
ReplyDeleteIt is Luzon’s highest peak at 2,922 meters above sea level. The borders between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya meet at the mountain's peak.
As the highest mountain in Luzon, Mount Pulag attracts a lot of mountain climbers. Highlights of the climb include the montane forests and the grassland summit with its "sea of clouds" phenomenon. There are four major trails up the summit: the Ambangeg, Akiki, and Tawangan trails from Benguet and the Ambaguio trail from Nueva Vizcaya.
Mulaag na sab si Cat!!!!
ReplyDeleteHad this invite been made 20-30 years ago, di ka magda-dalawang salita. But that means, I'll have to carry you on a baby carrier like the photo below. Heck, I may have been the one issuing the invite! But obviously, ngayon kaya ko na lang siyang abutin ng tingin (sa internet pa!).
ReplyDeleteThis "sea of clouds" phenomenon is surely one spectacle I will miss.
Good luck and enjoy the climb. I'll be with you in spirit.
maorag sa huna-huna ra gyod Mommy Loy...basin di kaya sa knees!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I wonder if they allow people to go up the hiking trail up Mt. Pulag na may bitbit na baby carrier....mwahaha!
ReplyDeletebut I must say, w/ regards to the design of the baby carrier, ok di na ...may sun roof pa...ang kulang na lang yata e yung guard design to make sure it withstands rolling down the hill if ever the guy who carries it slips up...hmm.....
naku, yung 3-hour hike yata ang naka-put off ng ibang tao dito..hehehe...
ReplyDeleteactually ako rin, because am hopelessly stuck to my chair these days, walang circulation..huhuhu!
CLIMB FOR A CAUSE!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.anywherephilippines.com/2011/04/anywhere-philippines-presents-climb-for.html
Wow! Yun nga lang na 20-minute uphill hike namin sa Coron surrender na kami after 15 minutes!
ReplyDeleteplease don't say that...naiyak na ako dito...
ReplyDeleteBaka naman yung 3 hours na yun ay leisurely walk lang at gradual lang ang incline. Ganda talaga siguro nung "sea of clouds" sa actual.
ReplyDeleteGo, go, go, Cat! It's a wonderful experience. But I wouldn't do it twice, hehe. But if by chance, I am persuaded to go again, I will bring a portable potty. Iwan ko na yung gasul and bring the potty instead. LOL!
ReplyDeleteso....sama ka na? even first time climbers pwede daw eh...:-)
ReplyDeletemwahaha! wala bang CR stops?
ReplyDeletee sa Capones namin e trowel nga lang bitbit eh...mas magaan...ehem...sama pa fertilizer...
Teka muna, for the record, I'm not a "first-time climber," ha. Pero di pa rin ako makaka-sama. My earlier comment was actually meant to encourage you to go :-).
ReplyDeleteBy the way, don't forget to bring water or else - http://www.gmanews.tv/story/218133/regions/dehydrated-climber-rescued-on-mt-apo?utm_source=GMANews.TV&utm_medium=twitter
ReplyDeleteI you're looking for someone to join and accompany you, may I introduce a multiply contact whose passion it is to climb mountains (among other outdoor adventures/sports). Meet her here - http://travelmistress.multiply.com/
ReplyDeleteay, sorry, didn't mean to cast doubts on your mountain climbing ability :-)
ReplyDeleteyou can think of it as me saying pwede ako din pala sumama don kc first time mountain-climber ako...(I'm only good for hills...like the many Chocolate Hills in Bohol..anything higher than that, and I'd prefer to sit down and lick an ice cream cone)..
gusto ko talaga nga na go...just some things to iron out pa...
ok, thanks Tochie, I will check her out..
ReplyDeletenakup...kakahiya naman pala...e if so, experienced climber na sya...ako lang naman its just to put a check-mark to the list of things I want to do here sa Pinas :-)
Exactly the right company for you so you have a guide and you can get pointers.
ReplyDeleteamen..baka mangyari di guide but taga-karga...ehehe!
ReplyDeleteAkiki-Ambangeg yata na trail....
ReplyDeletetext-text next week once ma-finalize since the one who asked if I was interested said 2 daw pagpipilian nila...
so Che, at sino pa dyan who'd like...we hope to register by next week..siguro by that time rested na :-)
in the meantime work muna....and hope I can try for some exercise before all this happens..and buy the gear etc.
hay..I wonder if i should try to borrow a tent and sleeping bag...tamad na ako magbitbit..the lighter the better...
