Tapos na ang Free Clinic? How was it for you?
ReplyDeleteMed mission and helped sa pag pack for the kids in Che's Lapis, Bolpen & Papel Project. In the former to be honest, not really a lot for us to do because may system na sila and there were already personnel from RHU helping distribute the meds and vitamins plus mga taga military nga medical nila.
ReplyDeleteHayz kuyawan pod ta sa nag ibot ug teeth!
Please translate into Tagalog, Kapampangan, Ilokano, English, or Hawaiian.
ReplyDeleteDid you take photos of the PNR train?
ReplyDeleteYes, photos of your train ride please. : )
ReplyDeletehehe...
ReplyDeleteI said it was nerve-wracking looking at the teeth being pulled...
oh ye of little faith BNK *wink*
ReplyDeleteako pa? haha...
I even "nagged" Chito because the last chance to get inside the driver's cubby was on the way back at night..ayon at 11:45 (?) pm, I climbed up into pitch darkness of the cab when we had to stop to wait for the "salida" of two trains (1 track lang kc) at Plaridel station...sayang lang walang akong flashlight so ayon, click ng click lang kung anong makuha na may flash..haha
op kors po...
ReplyDeletemy plan for taking an overnight train in Japan got bunked due to their cancelling na pala those trips to Kanazawa so ayon, happy ako na-try ko here sa Philippines and though it may be some donated trains, e galing Japan na man yong train, e konting imagination na lang....*wink*
Japan donated the PNR trains? Mga destined to be junked na siguro mga yun. Interesado ako makita itsura ng mga PNR coaches. Air conditioned ba? Comfy seats? May dining car for eating and drinks? May wi fi?
ReplyDeleteI will post soon yung trip namin ni Chito ...
ReplyDeleteang na-try ko is yung sleeper cars nila..yep air-con sya...
wala pang dining, comfy naman....let's just say nasa birthing period pa...hahaha...
I just want you to steel your mind ahead - remember Philippines to, and the PNR is reviving it...so paunti-unti yung mga gusto natin na features to be in place...
Ano yung sleeper cars? May mga seats convertible to beds? Or may mga separate sleeping cabins?
ReplyDeletemga mga sleeping berths on two cars
ReplyDeletethe third car has some seats which can be reclined backwards (think ala La-Z-boy na idea though not as comfy)...actually some buses for Naga ganon ang seats nila...
sa future daw (and I hope Chito won't mind if ako na mag-anunsyo nito) is ang plan is to use yung isang train which has separate sleeping cabins but I heard like its good for one, and maybe its ok for privacy but I prefer yung berths especially if group kayo, its more fun coz people can lounge and talk (parang nasa sofa lang)
Google says by rail, distance between Manila and Naga is only 377 kilometers. Unless the train runs at night, you don't really need sleeping berths. I think sleeper cars are more for long transcontinental trips like those in Europe and North America. On a short trip like this one, I prefer to travel by day, and enjoy the passing scenery as well.
ReplyDeletethey are planning day trips...for now naman its overnight trips sa Bicol Express to Naga...
ReplyDeletethere are facts din kc to make it better muna to be using night trains
1) one rail lang -> this is not yet to the level na masabi mo smooth ang ride and sometimes may washouts din
2) for now it takes 10 hours or more (sometimes umabot ng 12 hours) for the trip...hence nowadays its a shorter ride if you take a bus...when the time comes that the train travel time is shortened, I myself would prefer a day trip -> connected din to tourist stops along the way..
No problem, Cat. You're referring to the Executive Sleeper Class which has a single-passenger accommodation. And yes, it is primarily for those who prefer more privacy.
ReplyDeleteQuestion pala Tochie, coz may konting confusion in my mind...
ReplyDeleteacc to the photograph I took sa Pasay Road Station
it seems how I understood it was correct.
So essentially, we were traveling in what is described as "Family Sleeper".
But, if memory serves me right, acc to the ticket I got, nanaka-off, wasn't the price actually matching the "Executive Sleeper" (coz sabi P900+) or its something to do with either the 30 percent off versus other types of discounts?
Thank you...
Ah, never mind..gets ko na...
ReplyDeleteI had thought the price above was the final normal price and that it had to be computed further and 30% deducted.
..it seems those listed such as Php 665 is the already discounted rate (meaning its 70 percent already).
Hence Family Sleeper is really Php 950.
Discount of 30 percent now would mean the public would pay Php 665 nowadays instead of full rate.
Hence executive sleeper would mean full rate of Php 1426 (rounded off).
Ok, at ease na mind ko..haha...pwede na matulog...
Puede na. G'nyt.
