I found more entertaining the reactions of the posts from readers...
ReplyDeletefor me the point is - do what you want to do as much as possible...as soon as you reasonably can...not necessarily travel but maybe do something you would like to do but have not due to the "serious side" of life's responsibilities
I was a galivanter & traveler myself in my young days....I found out that traveling on younger years, have more fun without thinking much on how & where to go...just go anywhere, for the sake of adventure...i was more resilient to anything that may come up...like stress free feeling, even how long or non-sleep periods...but, as people aged, they tend to push themselves to make it & as you said, with some unavoidable family health problems may prevent traveling....
ReplyDeletehehe..I resonate to that...
ReplyDeletei regret not doing the things i wished i can do while i was still single. like travel. maybe i can do that again when kids are all grown up. and ask you to come with me, Cat!
ReplyDeleteawww....am honored you'd consider me as your travel companion Meann...I'd love to come with you, it would be wonderful to go on those food trips and R&R with you :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't quite agree that with what he said that when you get older, things just happen to you. when your eyes are wide open until they are really shut, life never ceases to be a wonder. you can still do crazy and foolish things when you are old. you can still learn and be "cultured" at anytime. your awe and curiosity and daring must not die til you do. : )
ReplyDeleteThat would be ideal but generally speaking, unless one has the 'right' temperament at a younger age, its more that one is set in one's ways and its more difficult to break out of the pattern unless one has been doing that from at the beginning
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this article Cat, mostly the comments from the readers, quite a diverse opinion about the subject.
ReplyDeleteTravelling is one the things I love...meeting people from all walks of life is really interesting..of course travelling also comes with tasting the delicacies of diff. cultures so masaya.. LOL...
hehe....me too, I had more fun actually sa mga reactions sa readers Suzanne ;-)
ReplyDeletesights and food, and of course wonderful people I expect to meet sa travel ko - knock on wood, I've not been disappointed with it..
