  2. ok lang sana if its fun you have..but like me before na most of my travel business-related..nakaka-hinayang..you can't enjoy yourself..hotel lang and office makikita mo :-)

  5. waaah..di ni suroy...torture ni..torture!

  6. Kat, how about a pleasure trip to Hawaii on your way back huh? I am sure they'll try to accommodate you for that.

    ReplyDelete
  7. if I pass, baka, if hindi...*droopy ears and paws over ears*

waaah..ayokong magsalita...huhuhu! but I certainly thought of it before nga on my next trip to the US na daanan kita para magpatintero tayo sa slope ng volcano..:-)

  8. Bring your knee pads. Very sharp ang mga lava rocks!!

Sige sana matuloy ka. Hindi na pinag-iisipan ang mga ganyang bagay. Just do it!

    ReplyDelete
  9. oh Cat...think of it this way...business trip on your way to cincy and a pleasure trip to hawaii for a patintero game with joey on your way home! and think of good food as well in hawaii....oh ha! what say you...i am sure it would still be pleasurable...

  10. Parang mahirap gawin yan. Buti pa mag it-bulaga na lang kayong dalawa sa loob ng tunnel sa Diamond Head, madilim dun.

Seriously Cat, a couple of days stop over in Honolulu shouldn't be a problem on your way back to the Philippines. Wala namang extra bayad sa airfare kasi along the way. Just do it. (Nike ba yon?)

    ReplyDelete
  11. if matuloy ako sa Cincy (gusto ko talaga i-cancel eh)...and if goes well, certainly it would be no problem coz I will beg my boss to give me a few days off before returning to the Philippines, even to the poing magtrabaho ako sa vacation time ko..hehehe...*cross fingers*

  12. ikaw ha...kumuha ka na ng ticket para Singapore...para mag-chinese garter tayo don :-)

    ReplyDelete
  13. ngak! sana may diamonds na totoo sa winner ng game :-)

am unsure din, kc I remmeber the last time, wala kaming stopover eh pauwi...either Japan lang yata yon (if nag Northwest ako which di ko ginawa) or sa Guam ang stopver namin...too early to say at this point...but will certainly keep the suggestion in mind...thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  14. This is not an option Kat. Just Do It! (Nike yon, BNK) And then Que Sera Sera. You worry about that later on.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Fly with Philippine Airlines, Kat. Siguradong may stopover sa Hawaii. Pare-pareho naman ang airfares nila.

Btw, what' s your business in Cincinnati?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Mahirap yata itong gagawin mo Kat. Medyo risky. Bakasyon ka na lang.

    ReplyDelete
  17. nakup, di pwede, it involves, funding, money, dollars, exam and so many other factors...ang pray ko na lang sa Lord maghanap ng paraan na di matuloy..hehehe...malay din..kc may nangyari na ring snags on one of the prerequisites...

    ReplyDelete
  18. eh? wala last time, nag PAL ako eh..but..then, galing Sanfo yon pauwi Pinas...I remember stopover sa Guam...walang Hawaii :-(
ok, will ask pano once malaman ko matuloy...

    ReplyDelete
  19. ang HP na office kc namin nandon kc yung biggest client namin na P&G nandon din...hmph..kung bakit di naman nilagay ang office sa Hawaii or Sanfo or New York sana *nagreklamo pa*

    ReplyDelete
  20. actually, nangyari na yan sa akin, during my vacation to Japan...so..no stranger...

    ReplyDelete
  21. There was a time when PAL stopped flying to Hawaii. Now they have Hawaii as part of their route. 3X/week nga lang. WE flew on PAL during our last visit. How about Hawaiian Air and then another American carrier going to Cincy? That might work too.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sabagay. Those are personal and could be challenging.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hawaii is small time for a huge corporation like HP. Perhaps SFO or NY pwede pa.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That might work in Japan. But in the US, the employer runs the risk of getting caught hiring an illegal alien. That's jail time for them and deportation for the worker. But if there's a will there's a way. Discreet nga lang. I am all for you. Just Do It, Kat.

    ReplyDelete
  25. ah..clarification..I didn't mean nag-moonlight ako s Japan..hehehe...Japayuki ang dating ko yata...*grin*

I meant, that due to holidays in Belgium at that time and out of the blue, naturo ako sa teammate ko na backup nya...I did my usual workload for my current company while I was vacationing in Japan...a day in Nagasaki (pero choice ko yun) and one day in Tokyo (yun yung medyo napilitan ako but oks lang)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ooops...my bad. Sorry, I misunderstood :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. no problemo, baka vague lang pagka-post ko rin eh...

for sure, ayoko talga mag work habang naka VL...ang point is to enjoy, but, if walang ibang paraan, i-singit..hehehe...yung sa Nagasaki nga...e parang speed demon ako sa emails, tapos hala, taralets...plug into a small window yung ikot..tapos hala, balik sa work...am just glad for small mercies that my friends Benjie and Joy were accomodating..para kaming whirlwind dumaan sa tourist spot..hahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just don't get married to your work. There are so many pleasures in life kaya pag-bakasyon...talagang bakasyon. Pag work...work. Ika nga eh Work hard but also play hard.

    ReplyDelete
  29. all work and no play makes John a dull boy...
    ergo..
all play and no work makes John a playboy...

    teka..where did that come from?....
    merienda na ang kailangan...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Here's a parallel to what Joey said:" Work to live, not live to work."

    ReplyDelete
  31. matutuloy yata...wala pa akong ticket kc naghahanap ako ng paraan pano ma-arrange ang route...

    ReplyDelete
  32. naudlot ang Hawaii part...

    its now

Nov 22 - leaving Cinci for New York

Nov 27 - leaving NY for Sanfo

    Nov 30 - uwi Pinas diretso..huhuhu!

    ReplyDelete
  33. OMG!

I just received forwarded email from my teammate...asking if my trip would be affected...

seems that the TSG group sent an email saying in order to prepare for the uncertain year ahead, all travel will be cancelled, affecting a particular kick-off event this Nov 22...

I am certainly praying hard now that this trip will now continue...totally opposite to how I felt when I first wrote this post...

can you blame me? I've just bought a ticket for the personal part of the trip to NY and may ticket na rin ako for the NY to Sanfo..tapos..to top it all may binili ako online last night na malaking package, pinadeliver ko pa sahotel in Cinci, all in preparation for the trip para wala na akong isipin while i am there...and now this!

    *faints*

    teka..iyak muna..tapos faint...

seriously, I am still keeping my fingers crossed and praying diligently (sasabihin ng Panginoon loko tong batang to ah).

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oselle...

isama mo nal ang ako sa prayers na matuloy tong trip na to..tapos kita tayo NY...I have a couple of classmates residing there, plus I would like to visit my aunt din who I've only seen once before back in my high school years...:-)

so ayan...sana matuloy and sana kita tayo..

gusto kong tumawa pero masakit ulo actually....so eto..hehehe na lang on the post...

    ReplyDelete
  35. OMG! Ano ba yan? I'm crossing my fingers too Cat!

    ReplyDelete
  36. aaaahay...ewan...

eto may spate of emails..parang spam...

    on hold daw travel..
tapos yung last..nag ok na sa travel ko..

    o ano? kita tayo NYC?
    nood tayo Broadway show?
    sana Wicked...

    ReplyDelete
  37. hayyyy.... i wish ... hanggang wish muna ...huhuhu

    ReplyDelete
  38. tara na Oselle..para EB in NY...o di ba? bago..collection ng letters..:-)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ngek. Ngayon ko lang nabasa to. Would you like to connect with my sister in SanFo?

    ReplyDelete
  40. wow, it would be cool to meet her...nag-meet ba sila ni Kaiyen (lumaki ng lumaki ang network hehehe)..

    ReplyDelete
  41. either with my classmate or with my aunt...sayang nga eh...yung isa kong classmate papunta naman Sanfo on Nov 22 and back to NYC on Nov 29..hehehe..malay.baka magkita kami sa Sanfo..sana...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hindi nakarating si Kaiyen sa Albany EB namin. She says that Steve and her had visitors who didn't leave early as expected.

    ReplyDelete
  43. arah! sayang din...this remiinds me of a story (these things pop into my mind all of a sudden hehehe)....of overstaying visitors....

while they were still chatting around sa living room area, nag-roll out ng banig ang lolo sa gitnaan...hehehe..

    ReplyDelete
  44. wow! one busy lady here! now ko lang nakita ito...
so you are finally going...so you take care! and pack now!

    ReplyDelete
  45. this is the third time I've packed...first time..ok na..

then I thought siguro maka stop over ako sa Hawaii..so tanggal and kuha ng pang basa sa dagat...

then because of one reason or another, the Hawaii stopover didn't push thru...so unpack

so here I am again..and unfortunately since I will be bringing only a small bag and all handcarried pa to, with tons of books..nag-iisip pano ma stuff tong mga hiningi na pasalubong ng ibat-ibang tao...pwede ba to makain tapos regurgitate ko lang? eheherrrm...

ano ba yung birds as Japan wherein they dive and the fish are taken from their mouths by the fishermen when they come up? sea cormorant ba?

    ReplyDelete
  46. LOL! Ginawa ito ng Lolo ko kay Hugz! =)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yup. Narrow metal rings are put around their necks so that they cannot swallow the fish that they catch. But after a night's work, the ring is removed and the fisherman gives the bird some of the fish that it has caught. Ang lupit, ano? Imagine how frustrating it is for the bird not to be able to swallow its catch. =(

    ReplyDelete
  48. Btw, Kat, when are you leaving exactly? Can I bother you to bring my pasalubong to Kaiyen? We weren't able to meet up kasi, so I still have it with me. =(

    ReplyDelete
  49. sure Ms G....I will be leaving this Nov 14, 2008...

Breakable po ba yung pasalubong? I have purposely left my big bag here so I will have no problem in buying bigger luggage when I am there...

consequently puro handcarry bags lang na squeezed lahat ang good for 2 weeks na clothes and 6 thick books...but I have room in my laptop bag if it can fit in...

argh...I just remembered nagpapahanap pa ng tablea si Bong...di kaya yon bawal...*muses*

    ReplyDelete
  50. It is just a very small pouch and very light in weight. It is okay to bring in tablea. Just don't bring in any kind of meat. =(

    ReplyDelete
  51. cool! off na si Kaiyen by Friday..so I cross my fingers magkita kami talga otherwise parang umikot na yang pasalubong nya at umabot pa Pinas..hehehe...

if hindi..abah..either ipa-pouch ko yan while i am in the US, or i-hostage ko (ano Kaiyen, di tayo magkita at di mo to kunin? I'm going to squeeze it to death! mwahaha!)

    ReplyDelete
  52. thanks for the tip on the tablea...yan siguro and dried mangoes, oks na yata...if mag-crumble man yung tablea..it can still be edible mixed with water naman...hay..talking about it just makes me want to make a cup of hot native chocolate ora mismo...

    ReplyDelete
