NY in Cebu

Location:     Cebu, Philippines
well, thats the plan at least.....New Year in Cebu City, my hometown!

I've just bought the ticket today...I will be going to Cebu on Dec 30 and coming back to Manila on January 13, 2009. I am still running after low ticket prices so have to decide fast.

I'm getting hives thinking of a connecting flight from Manila to Cebu on the same day I arrive..so better to dump my gear first back home, look at all the mail, re-pack and go to Cebu on an early flight the next day..hopefully I can wake up early.

I have not talked nor confirmed with my manager yet (he is OOO/out of the office for one week as of this writing) if he would be okay with my working there for that period of time but I have to have my dentist appointment with my "suki" dentist...as some dental work and checkup is a bit overdue.

I guess that means I will miss Sinulog in Cebu again...but its ok...spending the new year with my family is a good way to start 2009. As long as there is internet and phone line and my trusty computer which I lug where I go...I am going to be fine *cross fingers*

    kailangan i-plan ahead with the kind of team I have...there's no spur of the moment sa amin eh..ang hirap to get the approval and timing of the schedules...

    would you believe, pati next year August 2009 pinaguusapan na ng taga Belgium teammates ko and also the Easter vacation...last September we had a talk on that...

    sabi ko - what? yung Easter nga di ko alam what dates yan nag-fall, tapos magtatanong kayo if mag leave ba ako? huhuhu! and then..shempre, even if holidays yan..di naman pwede aalis ka..kailangan may mag-cover...malas, kc kaming dalawa ng taga Belgium same dates na holiday or OOO...so dehins

    but I thought I was playing it safe...the first booking I got had me arriving in the afternoon around 5 to 5:30 yata and then catching the connecting flight to Cebu on the last flight on PAL na 7:30 pm...which is on the other terminal di ba..sa Centennial, whereas SIA is on Naia..uhm..3?

    waaah...baka dapat hapon ng Dec 30 ako alis...huhuhu...I can't afford to be late at puno siguro lahat ng flights nito..

    ah..ang bibigyan ko lang ng pasalubong is yung sasama sa akin sa Singapore or sasama sa akin sa Cebu...:-)

    its quite noisy during the December and January days and even during leading to Sinulog...my gulay, one time, muntik akong mahulog sa motorbike sinakyan ko kc they were setting off firecrackers on the streets...but you get used to it....thanks BNK!
