I think eyes are one of the few body parts that don't grow.
ReplyDeleteI also believe this, as a matter of fact, is true.
ReplyDeleteHere's one helpful article on the matter - http://www.uic.edu/com/eye/LearningAboutVision/EyeFacts/BabyEyes.shtml
ReplyDeleteI know there are hundreds (possibly thousands) of articles on this but this one comes from the Dept. of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of the University of Illinois in Chicago.
hmph...so unfair...
ReplyDeleteI guess I am getting envious of all those big "anime-eyes"
though its probably weird if something like that were to be translated to reality...
something like what if Barbie was a real woman..she'd fall over...
that was surprising..didn't know infants could have cataracts...
ReplyDeletecompare your baby pics :-)
ReplyDeletetama ka dyan Cath.
ReplyDeleteI actually did long time ago but couldn't tell. But I am one of those fortunate ones whose eyes didn't really go that bad. In other words, late bloomer ang eyes ko...LOL!
ReplyDeleteehehe..those who have nice, big eyes mabilis magsabi tama...
ReplyDeleteyung mga singkit like me..ayaw mag-believe..mwahahaa!
omigosh...even eyes late bloomer?
ReplyDeleteAko rin may pagka singkit...:-) Original last name namin was Uy. My great grandfather's name was Uy In Tia. My grandfather was baptized Aquino when he became Catholic. He took the last name of the priest, Fr. Lupo Aquino, who baptized him.
ReplyDeleteBut of course!
ReplyDeleteUy! Cousin Joey! hehehe...
ReplyDeletekami rin Uy..or in my case Uy Tico ang maiden name ni Mommy.
"Uy" yang original and then they added something to make it Filipino daw (how in the world that can be when it sounds like 3 Chinese surnames strung together is sometimes what I ponder)...
Uy, mag kamag-anak pala tayo!!!
ReplyDeleteUsually, Chinese names have only one syllable but because they put them together as one, it becomes 3 syllables like Co-Juang-Co, or Uy-en-co, etc. Only in the Philippines does that happens. Go ponder:-)
My original great grandfather was from Canton, China. What about your mom? How interesting huh.
hmm..tanungin ko Joey if saang probinsya ..both sides kc ng parents ko ay Uy
ReplyDeletemy great-great grandpa yata..was Lucio Uy Herrera...
first Chinese consul sa Cebu...naku..baka kamaganak sila mommy and daddy..ngeekk
My eyes were really big.. as in it looked like it occupied a big part of my face. i don't see it occupying my face much anymore.. lol.
ReplyDeletemaybe super-cute and dainty ang baby face mo Mai...hehe..I wonder ang ratio to baby faces to adult faces..
ReplyDeleteSa town of San Narciso, Quezon province, Cat. It is at the tip of Southern Luzon across the Bicol region by Ragay Gulf. Check your map. Malapit na rin sa Cebu yun. Baka nga mag kamaganak pa tayo..LOL! How cool would that be huh?
ReplyDeletenaku, Uncle Joey!
ReplyDelete(hahaha..biglang ginawang uncle instead of cousin para mas makahingi ng maraming pasalubong..younger you know! *grin*)
Hoy....Mahiya ka. Mag kasing idad lang tayo...:-D
ReplyDeleteHoy...Mahiya ka.
ReplyDeleteI'm a century younger than you :-)
Aba, di hamak na pareho lang ang ating dating:-)... Young and Vibrant!
ReplyDeleteWhen you have the time, sige nga tingnan mo yung family tree ninyo. That would be interesting.
ReplyDeleteit would be good..however as of now, its only the Borromeo side which is active in documenting the family (my dad's mom was a Borromeo)
ReplyDeleteyung Herrera (Uy Herrera) and yung sa mom side...wlang written..puro verbal..like when my mom makes kwento...
I guess, it will just remain a mystery for now:-(
ReplyDeletedapat we ought to commission somebody to trace and document our family's history di ba?
ReplyDeleteang down side? e baka we have to pay him or her double to keep quiet about it when the truth is found out..LOL
Kailangan relative ang gagawa noon. May malasakit pagka sila.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha... like what?
