Comfort food (though somewhat more expensive than what Cebuanos are used to) at the A Cafe @ Crossroads.

  1. As long as you are fully satisfied, it is all worth it.

  3. I had a friend from Sanfo who I could only meet up for one night here in Cebu, and the first choice was Cafe Elysa (because he likes our local food), unfortunately, I called to reserve and found out they closed for that night due to a function being held.

So with just 30 minutes to spare, I tried to think where else I haven't tried eating at which would be suitable because the last time I ate with my friend, it was at a French resto in Sanfo of all places...and I recalled just reading in Cebu Pacific Airline's Smile magazine this new place called "A Cafe", a sister resto to "Maya" which serves Mexican food (and tequilas hehehe).

Tita Lou - as a friend, I'd say I was satisfied with the dinner because its good to catch up and talk - the place was ok.

As a thrifty Cebuano who likes eating and getting value for money, I think its just wee too expensive if I consider everything. :-)

  4. I only had fish and chips and Israel (my friend) had some turkey-laden cottage pie I think.

I'm not sure if my pictures of their menu with their descriptions are going to be clear enough (walang pictures and menu) though I really liked the salad we had - bleu cheese and apples with greens.

  8. I was going to ask the same thing. I am a fan of Market Manila, owner of Zaubuchon. Meron ata sila sa may Ayala at sa capitolyo. LOL

  10. hehe..ok, maybe I will ask Mommy Loy if they have, and if they haven't tried it, ask them to go with me and pig out a bit *wink*

am afraid though that my taste buds memory may be biased...it seems to me that childhood memories of Sundays spent on eating lechon from towns and beaches (esp Talisay, then some lechon later sa Carcar) as well as the tons of Cebu lechon during fiestas have made me snobbish...
