btw, what is bungang-araw in English? it doesn't seem to be be 'fruit of the sun'...ngek!
ReplyDeletein Cebuano or Bisaya..its bungag-singot (fruit of the sweat? eherm)...
oh kaya naman pala sa internet :-)
ReplyDeleteprickly heat! in December!
weather is crazy...rain & heat! cold hasn't set in yet.
ReplyDeleteworld and weather has gone mad...maybe in March it will be cold!
ReplyDeleteprickly heat somehow doesn't fit (in the Pinoy context).
ReplyDeleteDito naman sa Vancouver it's unusually cold for this time, hindi pa winter pero nag snow na. We're supposed to have the mildest weather in all of Canada, and yet we're now into 2 C daytime and - 4 C nighttime. I think scientists call it climate change. Brrrr
ReplyDeletefor me..it seems such a tame description to the scratching am doing...
ReplyDeletemismo...naku..baka 5 years down the road, climate sa Canada ay parang Africa na...*urgh*
ReplyDeleteI've just rolled myself in cornstarch powder....hmm...pwede na akong ifrito :-)
ReplyDeletewhich is no joke, kasi mainit din parang pinirito ako....
some try 70% alcohol( ethyl or rubbing alcohol)....or use Lacticare 2,5% lotion apply thinly 1-2x day.
ReplyDeleteDoc Philip....eto na punishment ko for being too matakaw...tingin ko sa kakaubos ko ng maraming eggs...(hehehe...yung one sitting na kain of at least 6 tocino del cielo...*wink*)..aggravated by the heat...lately ang init sa magdamag....though its slackened off now due to the rain yesterday...
ReplyDeletethanks for the tip po...actually I bought (phew) Elica yesterday..before that I finished off the last remaining Diprolene cream I had...nag-alleviate konti plus a generous dusting of cornstarch powder (sa Johnson's di yung sa cucina...hahaha) before I go to sleep or go out..
