I have had my share of jewelry being snatched. Once in Cebu and once in Manila. But reading a buddy's blog on his "liempo" being snatched while riding a jeepney is turning me to a cracked stone statue! Hahaha or Huhuhu?

  1. liempo here is cholestrol-crunchy marinated and grilled pork belly...sarap (delicious) when eaten with a heap of rice, and dipped into your favorite toyo-vinegar-pepper combination sauce...

  2. assuming it was because of hunger at di nagkamali ang isnatcher....its a bad sign of the times when people are so hungry they snatch food...

in the case of mistaken item...I wonder what was going on in the guy's mind?
sabi pa ni Marky e he imagined tuloy na yung snatcher is eating his liempo with his drinking buddies over a case of beer which was also snatched away ......*shakes head*

  3. Perhaps the snatcher didn't know it was liempo, thought it was something more expensive.

  4. ang theory ng isang friend is baka naman daw may singsing and that was the initial target, natangay lang ang liempo :-)

I have no idea if may ring on the finger on that particular hand holding the liempo though...

  7. I think snatchers have good taste - over here they say one of the top items that is being shoplifted in grocery stores and the no. 1 in the list is filet mignon. I guess in PI the best cut of pork is the liempo because it is everyone's favorite.

oh well, but Tita Lou, ganon dyan ang lifting stuff...walang balita for snatching food the way they do here? :-)
