Munching on fresh cherries and mild chevrette before I collect some zees. Ciao for now!

  1. Fresh cherries? Wow! It must be awfully expensive there because it is not even in season here anymore. But when I was in grade school in Mindoro, they have something they called cherries which looked like a very dark cherry but the inside looked and tasted like a dark plum. That was the first cherry I knew.

  2. Cherries grow in the Philippines? Unless they grow there, you can't have FRESH cherries at this time of the year.

  3. Cherries are expensive here :-)

    they are imported of course and flown in. ....and costs the earth (to me..so please don't ask me how much, I have erased it from my memory banks for fear of going into permanent shock and mental shutdown...hehhehe)

  5. Love roasted chestnuts. Parang mas masarap pag binili mo sa mga roasted chestnut vendors sa sidewalk sa downtown.

  6. I love those Philippine cherries - plums. Those are plentiful when they bear fruits from one tree.

  7. eating the cherries just reminds me of my childhood days of eating lomboy....violet nga lang ang color pag ganun...

    hayz....siguro bili na lang ako ng jar of maraschino cherries...mas kaya pa sa bulsa...hahaha...

  8. super dami tao ngayon sa malls, sa sidewalk, sa gilid-gilid...am now more for convenience, though I can certainly appreciate the ambiance and extra flavor given if don sa downtown sidewalk vendors bilhin...

    ah..that reminds me, I think they've stopped cooking it and selling these chestnuts don sa stores sa Cebu..kaya I have to buy a kilo to bring back with me for my dad...
