I'm reminded why we are called "patients" when we go to hospitals and clinics - because we need tons of patience!

  1. nope, am not going into a rant of how clinics and hospitals and HMOs and other health-care related entities should perform some serious review and possibly do a process re-engineering of their systems...

with my mood now, I just want to go to sleep and recover...zzzz

  2. See why I don't like annual physicals--I end up getting one of those every few years. :P
I hope your foot is a lot better by now.

actually mas madali for me ang annual PE...its the consultation part yata na di pa ayos talaga sa hospitals...grrrr

imagine me hobbling from 1 floor to another sa Makati Med...hay naku....at iba pala ang annex..at mahaba ang pila sa elevator..sa inis ko e nag-stairs na nga ako maski para akong aso naka-labas ang dila pagdating don sa taas..hahaha...

  6. ah yes, thank you :-)

no fracture thank goodness...and its more of the same meds, and possible PT (I refused hastily coz that would mean I have to go back to the hospital na naman!) and support for the foot itself...

swollen pa rin..probably daw 3 weeks to a month pa...ang bruising is on the side nearer to the heel..so much so..na parang I have dirty feet..when looked at from the side..hahaha...

  8. Hahahahahahahahaha...i can just imagine you hobbling & tired...hope you need not to go to the bathroom in a hurry!...hehehehe...gee, that's even horrific feeling...yeap it's the waiting that will kill your patience, plus if it's humid & hot...whewwwww...poor you, hope you'll soon feel a lot better...purrrrrrr.....

  9. hehehe..I waited till I got home na even if my tummy was churning...

shoot..I should have stolen a wheelchair and wheeled myself along..but it would take me longer...

dapat nga ibahin nila ang hospital..gawin nilang parang hotel...ang patient mag check in and nasa room and pupuntahan na lang ng mga doctors instead of another way around...

  11. glad to hear the news! but you really have to go on PT. don't be like me...i have my plantar fasciitis for several years now, because i am too tamad to take care of my feet...but then again, i should have gone through all the rehabilitation process because my feet carries me around...so up to now, i still feel a bit of pain...arcoxia, my bestfriend should not be taken on a constantly...bad to be addicted to this pain relievers...hay!

  13. Especially in Japan. First come first serve means a visit to the hospital even for something simple takes half a day minimum of waiting to see a doctor for ten minutes.

  14. ok, that debunks my impression of how everything in Japan is efficient...I was even thinking of patients being processed on an assembly line..*guffaws*

  15. It really depends where you go. The clinic where I got Lasik was really efficient as well as where I got my annual check-up, but most doctor's offices and hospitals are painfully slow. It took me three hours to get an influenza vaccination :-(

  16. hmm..too bad you don't have a relative there who is a doctor..you could just buy here the flu vaccines and have them administered quickly..

  17. hmm...I think it may be different for countries like England, Canada etc.
