Thanks Cat. Got your update. Will continue prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chito. I just had to sit down after I read it as I was in a bus earlier when F8 apparently gave the news thru text and I didn't hear the beep.
ReplyDeleteWhile walking, I read her text, then followed by Ms. Guia's text. Then Nona texted last when I arrived home.
We offer our most heartfelt prayers and send our deepest love to our dearest Choie, her hubby Glenn and their children.
Nakaka-panghina talaga ang balitang ito...
ReplyDeleteOh no! Thanks for letting us know, cat. Will pray for choie.
ReplyDeleteThat's tragic!
ReplyDeleteAn update earlier was that Choie was undergoing angiogram...fwded it to our friends...
ReplyDeletethey said their plan was to put a coil around the clot close to her brainstem and that if it didn't work, they'd perform open surgery.
the latest msg I got was that the coil procedure was a success, and that there was no immediate danger of another rupture.
however, Choie is not yet out of the woods, so more prayers appreciated for Choie's condition.
was having dinner with the family as we are celebrating JUSTIN's bday when i got the news. i just couldn't chew the next spoonful...still praying for her complete recovery!
ReplyDeleteNakakalungkot talaga...I can't imagine what their family is going through right now. I pray for the best, for Glenn, and the kids.
ReplyDeleteI'll say a prayer for her and her husband and family today.
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked, absolutely! I can't believe this is happening to a very nice family. Actually it was Mr. Kyut Val who broke the news to me today. With Glenn's situation and now Choie's, it's hard to imagine what their kids are going through right now. Let's pray for them, and hope and pray that Choie pulls through. Glenn and the kids need her.
ReplyDeleteyes...very tragic..
ReplyDeletecontinued prayers for her recovery..
ReplyDeleteits at times like this na makaisip ako ng un-Christian like thoughts...like bakit di yung mga may kasalanan sa bayan natin ang magka-aneurysm?
thanks Cat - let's keep on praying ..
ReplyDeletethanks for the text updates, catgitl. halos magkakasabay ang texts nyo ni F8 and Ms G, salamat po. yes, let's continue to pray for Choie and family...
ReplyDeleteOma Luce, balak ko sanang email kayo today..but figured baka nakontak kayo nina Nona or nina Islaw/Helene...
ReplyDeleteif may balita ako from FB or text, i-share ko...
*hugs*
Update from Annette galing FB group -
ReplyDeleteFrom Jan Co Chua:
Update on Choie. Isobel and Rosenne just saw choie. Rosenne: "talked to Dr Arlene Ng. She says that per Dr Bataria, choie seems to be doing well. Another doctor -part of Dr rivera's team - says they'l conduct a sodium test tonight. Choie's dehydrated. If result is ok she can b moved to a regular rm." That's great news!!
From Faith's msg in another post:
ReplyDeleteFrom Nanay:
May 16. 6:30 pm. Good news! Choie is doing a lot better. Dr. Rivera's words, "She (meaning her progress) amazes me." He will see if it's ok to move Choie to a regular room by tomorrow.
From Annette in FB:
ReplyDeleteFrom Jan Co Chua: Choie Update. Dr Gap Legaspi updated us on Choie's condition. He was able to talk with her. She is actually more concerned with Glenn. Doc is truly happy with her recovery. Good news is: In a day or two, she might transfer to the regular room. The threat of hydrocephalus is remote. The headache will persist for two weeks though. Not so good news: Absolutely NO visitors! We know you all understand.
aortic aneurysm ang sabi. sa puso rather than the brain? coil is the same as stent? whatever, I am relieved and very tahnkful that she has regained consciousness.
ReplyDeleteamen
ReplyDeleteYes, Nona has been updating her Ate (who updates us in return) - thanks Nons. And also the brother of Glenn, BJ,just communicated with the family here. Keep us posted please.
ReplyDelete33 minutes ago, sabi nina Annette and F8 -
ReplyDeleteChoie's ct scan is ok. she is moving to a private room at 4 pm.
33 minutes ago, sabi nina Annette and F8 -
ReplyDeleteone heck of an extremely awesome Neuro Surgeon...we never met personally, but he's done a lot of tremendous brain surgeries...a really nice guy too!
ReplyDeletei wish he could do some fine tuning for a lot of our politicians...para magkapagasa ang bayan.
your friend is extremely lucky...great timing & a good choice for her doctor.
thanks Doc Philip!
ReplyDeletenag ask nga yung isa naming ka-group sino daw si Dr. Gap (kc yon lang ang unang na text)..
I'm so glad we have one of the best neurosurgeons here sa Pinas (at di nag-ibang bansa)...
also very happy with how this is turning out for Choie..buti at nadali rin nga ang pag-treat sa kanya.
*relieved sigh*
Doc, baka ma-temp si Doc Gap na tuluyan ang iba. : )
ReplyDeletemakauwi na si Choie yata this weekend, how uber-cool is that?
ReplyDeletefrom FB /Annette -
From Jan: Dr Rivera(who did the coiling procedure) just dropped in to see Choie. He says she's doing well and she might go home this weekend. Ha! What can we say?!
dapat yata head transplant gagawin non
ReplyDeleteUpdate!
ReplyDeleteChoie had texted me around 10:18 am Philtime today.
She said it was the first day for her to wake up to no headache after the aneurysm.
After 3 months of chemo, Glenn's MRI yesterday showed a reduction in the size of the tumor!
"A celebration of our turning our lives in God's hands together. Thank you for the love, unity and prayers! Redeclaring the presence of Jesus with you" - from part of her text.

This is such a perfect cap to my morning.
Nakataba ng puso ko. My heart is so full of happiness, parang di ko ma-contain within myself and maiyak ako konti if you don't mind me sniffling as I write this update.
Praise the Lord. God is good. Amen.
Wala na akong ma-say...am grinning too much this time :-)
- Cat
wow my heart goes to the couple & their family...that is a living nightmare....i hope & pray her husband conquers his battle.
ReplyDeletemaybe a test of faith, maybe its just also genetics..or ...its life...
ReplyDeletesomehow though, I get the feeling everything will turn out for the best...
