23 vintage bombs found in Cebu City..whoa! and yesterday a bomb exploded in a vacant lot in Salcedo Village here in Makati City. If only there would be a bomb which when it explodes, it explodes money and doesn't hurt anybody.
Yes, Lou. The place where they found those bombs is a reclaimed area. Meaning it was part of the sea near the city, maybe the Japanese or Allied forces dropped them there for a reason during the war.

it reminds me of when we went to Corregidor some time ago...on the tour we met an American guy who was a vintage bomb expert, he was called there to survey something...eeek..you couldn't pay me enough to go near an undetonated vintage bomb..malay natin if an ant will trigger it as it passes by...*shudders*

I hope they have the experience of detonating WW II Japanese bombs. If they ask the Japanese government am sure the Phil. government won't even need to pay for them to do it.
is it bad of me to ask when it could be very risky and life-threatening? - can they fix it that the bomb will be dismantled so that it won't explode tapos put back together again para ilagay sya in a museum say dedicated to WW2?

Today, 4 killed in an accidental explosion of a suspeted vintage bomb in Taguig City.
MANILA, Philippines – An explosion occurred in Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on Wednesday afternoon, killing at least 2 people and injuring 3 others.
Initial investigation showed that the 2 fatalities were attempting to defuse a bomb in the vicinity of Camp Bagong Diwa when it suddenly exploded, according to Taguig City police chief Senior Superintendent Tomas Apolinario.
The wounded victims were rushed to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment.
Authorities have yet to determine if the explosive was a vintage bomb or an improvised explosive device.

Then I would ask them to sign a disclaimer or waiver na kung may mangyari sa kanila ay hindi kasalanan ng gobyerno.
