Digital photography killed Kodak.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think they would diversify but that goes to show that recession is not yet over. They say age discrimination here in the US when you are looking for a job now starts at 50.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't take the opportunity considering they own the patent to digital cameras and other licenses still active in the industry. Offshoot sister company Eastman is doing better.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing keeping it alive is the movie industry.
ReplyDeletewhich is a bit ironic..kc di ba may patents pa naman sila?
ReplyDeletehmm..maganda to case study sa business school
at least dito sa Pinas, pwedeng umuwi at magtanim ng kamote sa bakod...hahaha
ReplyDelete( its a joke I translated from the vernacular "uli na lang ko sa amo ug magtanum ug kamote" when asked about prospects if one doesn't succeed)
maybe a case of too late, too little? but they also went into printing...which I think mahirap din unless you can easily overtake the competition at the start
ReplyDeleteand now hopefully it won't be buried forever..its just sad...
ReplyDeletethe last few days I was tuning into the History Channel here on cable (unrelated show though) and in some ways it was fun seeing the development of gadgets and other industries...I was amused at one point when they showed how the cd evolved...(and a goodbye to vinyl..but then its making a comeback)...
maybe Kodak will rise again...
Oo, malunggay and alugbati also. They are so easy to grow - you won't go hungry!
ReplyDeleteIsama mo na rin jan ang saluyot at kangkong.
ReplyDeletehmm..next thing you know nag business na yung Pinoy sa backyard veggies nya :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's all right, healthy stuff.
ReplyDeleteHey Cat, you're still up? It's 9:11 AM Friday here, 1:11 AM there. Got to go now, shovel some snow. See ya later.
enjoy the exercise BNK :-)
ReplyDeleteits 1:38 am as I write this..but I just had some after-midnight snack and am waiting for an anime episode on cable...so still up on a Saturday morn
