A few more hours, and I haven't yet packed, am still working...but off to see Bantayan Island this dawn!

    teka, teka..ang nagsalita...you have been traveling to so many places in your line of work..I wish ganon ang work ko...

    am not sure if I will have international this year...I've turned down two already..parang Lakbay Pinas for sure ang first quarter..hehehe!

    sama ka next time dito sa Pinas! we already had loads of fun with the others during the Sagada sortie..I can imagine if kayo ni Chito makasama..walang tulugan siguro..

  13. I recall this term from childhood...

    probably more appropriately it can mean "Lent" and can be either Latin or Spanish...I'll google later and come back...

    The word for Lent in Spanish is Cuaresma, which comes from the word cuarenta, meaning forty, because Lent lasts for forty days (plus six Sundays which are not counted).

    Lent is the period of 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter.

    I guess since the Cebuano dialect has its own mix of Spanish terms, we still use it instead of English (and its very rare we incorporate Tagalog words hehehe)

  16. there's no end to learning and its one which keeps us young..ang dami pa na di ko alam in subjects which I would like to learn more (of course namimili rin ako at baka mag-overload na utak ko..e medyo aging gray cells na rin at makalimutin...hehe!)
