* Underwear (I always add an extra set to whatever number I may bring..example if its 2 days travel, I make sure to have at least 3 sets of underwear)
* Cotton blouses - cool as I easily perspire
* TShirts
Scarf - if I go to cooler climes
* Pants - since denim jeans are heavy, I go for cargo pants
* Shorts
Dress - if I need to do something formal but luckily my trips are more for adventure
Jacket/Coat
Sweaters
Swimwear (note, include the goggles)
Life vest (only on our trip to Caramoan where there was a bad storm)
Pajamas
Gloves (only for cold weather countries)
Hat (depends on the type of clime - could be baseball hat, straw hat, beret...so I just pick one)
I don't use a belt but I will include it here
Pantyhose (if dress is included in things to bring)
Sando (tank tops)
* Hankies
Socks
Boots (for cold weather - this helped me a lot in my NYC trip)
Sneakers or Rubbers
* Crocs
* Slippers (when in room)
Black shoes for the office which can be matched with any outfit comfortably
* A must for me to bring for all trips

ReplyDeleteCincinnati was really cold (probably due to the river) and NYC was almost as bad....
hence the checklist above is a compilation of all I could think of I brought with me as I went through in my travels at one time or another..
...e.g. say if I were to travel to just Palawan, I would skip cold weather clothing....
For us guys, it is easy to recycle clothes. Like you can wear the t-shirt you wore on Sunday again on Wednesday. Or switch your matching pants and shirts.
ReplyDeleteI have met some career women who brought 3-4 sets of clothes just for one evening's event because they could not decide which one to wear before they leave. And then they buy something else because they don't like what they brought.
Do you factor in doing laundry when you travel?

ReplyDeleteactually we mix and match also...but then you know with women..may accessories and shoes and what have you...hay naku...
hence I usually stick with black and red (my fave colors) and use blazers and sleeveless tops for business-related trips...
and if its just casual...tshirts are the most comfy...
one nice trick is layering...long sleeved blouses or shirts with either tank tops, vests or short sleeve blouses...same clothes, diff look...and zany pa!
Only if its business-related and chargeable to company..hehehe...otherwise, I always try to do laundry on the underthings and hankies even if I have plenty to spare.....

ReplyDeleteWell, if you are on vacation, you can do your laundry the people you know, e.g. if you came to Hawaii, of course, you can do laundry in our home. But on business trips, it is surely nice if somebody else pays for your laundry, specially dry cleaning.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first moved here, my friends asked me to send them photos of me doing my laundry. I sent them a photo of our washer and dryer with me standing next to it...LOL!!
