After going through some Season 3 episodes of TrueBlood, 'tis fang-dropping to see how far its swinging from the books (Southern Vampire Mysteries) its based on. Still bloody exciting but sometimes too many subplots being thrown at the viewer.
alan ball said they deviated from the book's storyline so that readers of the series will still find it exciting. plus there were parts of the book that wouldn't look good on a tv show kuno. whatever. hehehe
True Blood is based (I use the term "loosely" these days because medyo umiba na ang mga characters' character hehehe... but still the same name) on Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire Mysteries stories ...aka Sookie Stackhouse novels...
the novels usually have the word "Dead" in them..e.g. Dead as a Doornail, Dead to the World etc. and para syang whodunit...its an interesting read trying to find out bakit or sinong pumatay...I'd recommend it as its funny too :-)
medyo disappointing lang ang ibang character adaptations..for example I am unhappy that Eric's character in the book - his sense of humor is something I don't get to see in the HBO series...oh well, gwapo naman...ahahaha! don ko na lang bawiin...*wink*

Eh not much of a reader... Just the series. But if Inception is adapted from a book I'd read it!
