Batanes Teaser: Valugan Beach (Circles)

Valugan Beach in Batanes is best viewed during sunrise.

We woke up at quite early to watch the sunrise from the Valugan (or Chanpan) Boulder Beach.

This picture was born out of a whimsy...since the beach is characterized by boulders and large round stones weathered by the strong Batanes tides, and my umbrella had colored circles...

After a while you will hear the sound of stones being rolled over by the waves crashing impetuously unto the rocky shore...

Fujifilm Finepix S602Z point and shoot

  7. yep, I have those ubiquitous lighthouses photos...kaso am weeding out the many cows all around it...tee-hee!

that reminds me...one time, 2 of our group's members were standing near the cow...one was posing in front of the lighthouse, the other was taking her shot..

abah...the cow was probably fed up with the group enroaching on the grass he/she wanted to eat (di ko alam if bull ba yon)...ayon.....charge!! buti naka-tether...

then said same cow, chewed and licked the tripod bag of another member and promptly dropped poo (not on it though)...

ayan..tip sa danger of Batanes...beware of the bovines...LOL

when we visited, it was hot and humid...may konting breeze..
