Recent interest: children's books. I'm going to try reading the "Mortal Instruments" series in order to see if its enough to hold my interest even at my age :-)

  2. hi Chelo!

the last 2 days, I've been up very late since I read all three books ....but I started at the last one (City of Glass, book 3)...

earlier this morning, I completed the City of Ashes (book 2)....the City of Bones (book 1) I finished yesterday (hence I have bloodshot eyes haha!)

    honestly?
while I can understand tweenies and females liking to read Twilight...mas na-enganyo pa ako sa Mortal Instruments series!

The anti-hero is bad enough to make me hate Valentine's Day (well what do you know, thats the name of the guy)...but the redeeming moments of goodness I see in unexpected people made it a heartwarming reading for me.

There are also biting sense of humor and tongue-in-cheek scenes wherein characters (teenagers) spew out these lines that I find myself laughing at (ganon pala teenagers, I wasn't like that I think)....

Harry Potter is different, more magical for me...

Twilight - more on the romansa *wink*

the Mortal Instruments? - less magical but I like the conflict better...

  3. lately I've noticed there are a lot of demons and angel-related stuff I've seen or read without any conscious decision to seek it out..

last month, I was reading Charlaine Harris' latest book (on the Southern Vampire series - "Dead in the Family")...which weirdly led to a couple of stories online on hellhounds (progeny of Cerberus)..then out of curiousity coz it was by its side... I checked Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series (which was more into angels and archangels - Angels' Blood and Archangel's Kiss)....

I thought that was it...but last week, cable tv showed "Fallen" about...what else...angels..or rather nephilims to be more exact...

then this week, when I prowled Powerbooks, I bumped into a sign saying they recommended Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments...so I began reading..and here we go again with nephilims and angel's blood
