I read that November is one of the best times to visit Japan, as the weather is mild and dry, airfares are low and the beautiful colored autumn leaves are spectacular! ..and Cebu Pacific is having a 50% promo on international flights for travel Oct-Nov....hmm....(breaks piggy bank)...hmm... (breaks another piggy bank)....still hmm....

Maglawig na sab ka Day!? Go go go Cat!
ReplyDeleteHow expensive is it from Manila or Cebu to go to Japan, Cat? I hope you can go.
ReplyDeleteLOL@piggy bank
buti ka pa maraming piggy banks
ReplyDeletei've seen autumn pics in quiet mountain scenes of Japan, that would be a sight!...malaki naman piggy bank mo eh!
ReplyDeleteawww....pahingi ng piggy bank...gusto ko sumama!!! bring me with you!!!!
ReplyDeletekaso wala akong visa to Japan eh..=(
November isn't bad. Let me know if you decide to visit.
ReplyDeleteIbili mo na rin kami ng tickets para sabay-sabay ang lipad natin. Osaka ba ang pasok? Then we go up to Kyoto and Nara. I would love to linger in those old cities.
ReplyDeleteMommy Loy, the spirit and body is willing...
ReplyDeleteits the piggy bank which is weak...*oink, oink of protest*
hmm...I think it may be Php20K++ round trip (depends also on where you may land..Fukuoka? Narita? Osaka?) ...the last time I was in Japan it was a free ticket kc...hehehe...I really want to go coz I have been itching to visit from Tokyo to northwards....
ReplyDeletenow its like Php3,600 ++ one way to Osaka...for Cebu Pacific...but am having second thoughts about November coz its my dad's birthday month...
yes, but whats inside are piggy coins...and piggy bills...which don't really amount to a heap of a lot of something......
ReplyDeleteyes, one thing I want to really see for myself (and which I got foiled) are the sakura in bloom and the autumn leaves (gigil na gigil ako nyan)...
ReplyDeletethe problem is..the piggy bank may be big...but its not full of money...*sobs*
bigyan kita ng piggy bank and you can fill it up...LOL
ReplyDeleteako rin, I don't have..I'd have to apply for it again actually...good for one time lang yung visa ko before..
really? its not too cold Ted? coz I'm leery of cold weather...spring is fine..but am not sure if my bones can take autumn...
ReplyDeletealso for this trip, it may be another solo trip for me...I can't seem to find any friends of mine who can jive with my schedule for going to Japan either October or November...
last day na ng sale ngayon Sir B sa Cebu Pacific...
ReplyDeleteeto na nga niyaya ko na nga sila Che..hay...yung isa kong kaibigan naman...mauna...yung isa this August...waaah!
yeah, its Osaka for Cebu Pacific...they do not have Fukuoka or Narita I think.....but its fine..I liked Osaka ...I only stayed there overnight..I didn't get a chance to see the bunraku but I had a big okonomiyaki! yummmm....
plan ko kc is to go up from Osaka onwards to see the nice autumn leaves..
Hindi kami pwede October because of the PICCA.
ReplyDeletemukhang November nga rin ang target ko eh...like the earlier part of the month....teka..hanapin ko link nakita ko gusto ko tingnan na sites...
ReplyDeleteAutumn is a fantastic sight!
ReplyDeleteNot too cold for me. I'm not sure about you. If nothing else you can see the beautiful leaves, which start turning after the first frost.
ReplyDeletecheck out these places..I wanna go there!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2014.html
I've always had a yen to go to Nikko!
hmm...I can probably take 15 deg Celsius on the average..but the problem with cold weather is I have to pack lots of clothes...or maybe I can just get away with wearing the coat and having the same kinds of clothes for the whole trip..hehehe...
ReplyDeleteI loved Kyoto....and Nara even if 1 day lang ako..I had a lot of fun even by myself in their park...the deer looked yummy for venison stew...I mean...never mind...
ReplyDelete*research mode for going upwards from Tokyo*
Just wear layers of clothes and bring a windbreaker.
ReplyDeletehm..may Nov 2...Php 2,999.50 to Osaka, return flight Osaka to Manila Nov 14, Php 2,999.50 :-)
ReplyDelete*fat-looking Cat waddles around corner*
ReplyDeletekidding only...I'm really tempted.....even just less than 2 weeks...
Go ako dyan!
ReplyDeleteare you sure? really? really?
ReplyDeletethis is a go lite fare with just 15kg na check in :-)
am thinknig of buying one way (to Osaka) and then looking for a flight from Narita instead going back to Philipppines...parang its such a long way off going back to Osaka....from Hokkaido...ahahaha...or maybe I should try that for another time..
Check out this Japan Autumn photos - http://www.flickr.com/photos/sugeina/sets/72157603235807224/
ReplyDeleteAll other Japan photos here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/sugeina
that does it..am buying the nov 2..to Osaka!
ReplyDeletePeak months yata ito eh. Baka kung ano matipid natin sa Cebu Pac, makain lang ng Delta or whatever. Sabagay mahal rin ang train, bullet train for that matter, pabalik ng Osaka from Tokyo.
ReplyDeleteactually November isn't exactly a peak month...more of the springtimes (April-May) and probably around August...cold weather na kc Japan by that time..
ReplyDeletethere's a return flight same price naman from Osaka...but Pal has flights from Narita..
ReplyDeleteactually, I saved a lot using my JR Train pass (you can use it maski how many times for a fixed period..say 1 to 2 weeks)...its just that I begrudge the time travelling back from whence I came...
my first trip to Japan, I went from south (Nagasaki) going up and up to Tokyo...so not a waste..sulit ang oras :-)
yes. parang sayang oras pababa ng south kung pauwi lang, not unless we'd want to repaso the cities. btw, where did you buy your japan railways pass?
ReplyDeleteyes, autumn in Japan is really beautiful....hay....hay....ano ba yan...you are pushing me to spend money instead of saving it..
ReplyDeletefrom one of the authorized travel agencies here in Makati...I forgot the name as of the moment...but they are in Dusit hotel I think...
ReplyDeleteSaving? For what? Isn't this what you're saving for?
ReplyDeleteno, am saving for a trip to Europe...

btw, my sister helen is here. she came home to visit my mom who was in and out of the hospital (kidney institute and then st lukes) the past two weeks. it turns out that my mom has had a series of mild strokes. she acquired hospital pneumonia and uti. helen was in grief (as most of us were) and flew here. we thought she was going to stay until december.
ReplyDeletepaki-regards po kay Ms H!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about your mom...she is feeling better na? and back at home?
eh, dapat si Ms. H mag vacation nga dito sa Pinas :-)
My mom's okay na, so which means pwede nang bumalik si Helen sa Japan and welcome us there. Pero pupunta muna yan ng Divisoria at mamimili ng "pirated" goods. Hehe.
ReplyDeletefyi..eto...nag-credit card tx na ako for NOv 2....bahala na si Batman...
ReplyDeleteoy..pinapabalik mo si Ms. Helen sa Japan ha...instead of vacationing here...hehehe...mabait na kuya...
ReplyDeleteooops. another one of my sisters, Lisa this time, is coming home on Aug. 5. Btw, I'd be in china Aug 3 to 13. MYs sisters are ribbing me that nawawala raw ako pag nandito sila. takas gastos ba? hahaha.
ReplyDeleteah, dahil po sa Mommy nyo kaya pupunta si Lisa?
ReplyDeletepero magaabot pa kayo paguwi nyo from Shanghai, right?
(no escape hehehe)
No problem yan. You can always start saving again after Japan :-)
ReplyDeletewhat will happen is that I will just have fare to Europe...and nothing else...hehehe...I plan kc to go to Europe by 2012..hay...maging 2020 na yata...waaah! I promised Oma Lucy puntahan ko pa sya Melbourne..nakupo....
ReplyDelete*all piggy banks are broken*
ok. for those who will be buying now, in case you are online, don't use HSBC..I had a very bad time now trying to buy...even called them up..their system is down...
ReplyDeleteluckily, thank goodness may card na iba..BPI CC worked without any fuss...so go peeps :-)
*looks for ticket coming back from Tokyo*
hi Ted,
ReplyDeleteits official..have bought a ticket going there...so you know..I am going to visit Japan (if all goes well *cross fingers*).
Between then and now, I have to plan the other stuff out like the return flight and itinerary and pray for having no problems with visa......hehehe....but I am going to pass by Tokyo even if have to get lost again in the subway station...
Hope to see you there! (super optimistic)
