I read that November is one of the best times to visit Japan, as the weather is mild and dry, airfares are low and the beautiful colored autumn leaves are spectacular! ..and Cebu Pacific is having a 50% promo on international flights for travel Oct-Nov....hmm....(breaks piggy bank)...hmm... (breaks another piggy bank)....still hmm....

  6. Ibili mo na rin kami ng tickets para sabay-sabay ang lipad natin. Osaka ba ang pasok? Then we go up to Kyoto and Nara. I would love to linger in those old cities.

its the piggy bank which is weak...*oink, oink of protest*

  8. hmm...I think it may be Php20K++ round trip (depends also on where you may land..Fukuoka? Narita? Osaka?) ...the last time I was in Japan it was a free ticket kc...hehehe...I really want to go coz I have been itching to visit from Tokyo to northwards....

now its like Php3,600 ++ one way to Osaka...for Cebu Pacific...but am having second thoughts about November coz its my dad's birthday month...

  9. yes, but whats inside are piggy coins...and piggy bills...which don't really amount to a heap of a lot of something......

  10. yes, one thing I want to really see for myself (and which I got foiled) are the sakura in bloom and the autumn leaves (gigil na gigil ako nyan)...

the problem is..the piggy bank may be big...but its not full of money...*sobs*

  11. bigyan kita ng piggy bank and you can fill it up...LOL

ako rin, I don't have..I'd have to apply for it again actually...good for one time lang yung visa ko before..

  12. really? its not too cold Ted? coz I'm leery of cold weather...spring is fine..but am not sure if my bones can take autumn...

also for this trip, it may be another solo trip for me...I can't seem to find any friends of mine who can jive with my schedule for going to Japan either October or November...

  13. last day na ng sale ngayon Sir B sa Cebu Pacific...

eto na nga niyaya ko na nga sila Che..hay...yung isa kong kaibigan naman...mauna...yung isa this August...waaah!

yeah, its Osaka for Cebu Pacific...they do not have Fukuoka or Narita I think.....but its fine..I liked Osaka ...I only stayed there overnight..I didn't get a chance to see the bunraku but I had a big okonomiyaki! yummmm....

plan ko kc is to go up from Osaka onwards to see the nice autumn leaves..

I've always had a yen to go to Nikko!

  18. hmm...I can probably take 15 deg Celsius on the average..but the problem with cold weather is I have to pack lots of clothes...or maybe I can just get away with wearing the coat and having the same kinds of clothes for the whole trip..hehehe...

  19. I loved Kyoto....and Nara even if 1 day lang ako..I had a lot of fun even by myself in their park...the deer looked yummy for venison stew...I mean...never mind...

*research mode for going upwards from Tokyo*

kidding only...I'm really tempted.....even just less than 2 weeks...

    ReplyDelete
  23. are you sure? really? really?
this is a go lite fare with just 15kg na check in :-)

am thinknig of buying one way (to Osaka) and then looking for a flight from Narita instead going back to Philipppines...parang its such a long way off going back to Osaka....from Hokkaido...ahahaha...or maybe I should try that for another time..

    ReplyDelete
  24. that does it..am buying the nov 2..to Osaka!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Peak months yata ito eh. Baka kung ano matipid natin sa Cebu Pac, makain lang ng Delta or whatever. Sabagay mahal rin ang train, bullet train for that matter, pabalik ng Osaka from Tokyo.

    ReplyDelete
  26. actually November isn't exactly a peak month...more of the springtimes (April-May) and probably around August...cold weather na kc Japan by that time..

    ReplyDelete
  27. there's a return flight same price naman from Osaka...but Pal has flights from Narita..

actually, I saved a lot using my JR Train pass (you can use it maski how many times for a fixed period..say 1 to 2 weeks)...its just that I begrudge the time travelling back from whence I came...

my first trip to Japan, I went from south (Nagasaki) going up and up to Tokyo...so not a waste..sulit ang oras :-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. yes. parang sayang oras pababa ng south kung pauwi lang, not unless we'd want to repaso the cities. btw, where did you buy your japan railways pass?

    ReplyDelete
  29. yes, autumn in Japan is really beautiful....hay....hay....ano ba yan...you are pushing me to spend money instead of saving it..

    ReplyDelete
  30. from one of the authorized travel agencies here in Makati...I forgot the name as of the moment...but they are in Dusit hotel I think...
