  1. The name of that octopus is Paul. Octopus oracle Paul predicts Germany’s victory over Argentina. This octopus has previously predicted correctly the results of all four of Germany’s games in the World Cup. It has become a star attraction at the Sea Life Aquarium of Ovberhausen and in the media.

  2. thanks Chito...that part you mentioned I missed..nakita ko lang picture ng octopus waving its 8 bits about...eh sorry, di mahilig kc ng World Cup manood...pero am intrigued by the idea of a race of oracle octopi...and the logical part of me wonders how...dahil ba sa food? dahil ba sa water temperature at the time...*intrigued pa rin*

  3. This was featured in the news the other night here. Quite interesting how an octopus can predict who is going to win a soccer match.

  4. I saw this on the news, too. Those Octopi sure are smart. They should play the tables in Vegas. ;-)

  5. Me too i'm not that quite a viewer of World Cup tornament/games, however, it's somehow a concerning advantage or a eye guard reference in the future...some interesting indication about seeing an octopus....^_~ ....cheers Cat

  6. Octopus are known to see things human beings are not capable of doing. Their capability in processing profiles of creatures especially in the sporting world is highly advance. And yes, their tentacles are capable of doing the fire dance at luaus. Angie, are you listening? :-)
And oh by the way, they make good salads.

  7. is soccer the specialty of this octopus?

    what about other games?
and how in the world did they have him just concentrate on soccer games? *wink*

  11. Depending on how the Italian team will do/does in the finals.
Italian seafood salad has this (octopus) as best ingredient.

  12. LOL..but Paul has had 100 percent accuracy in predictions...how could they begrudge him one little mistake? if that happens..I mean..

  13. ROTFL..I just read this now..

"Ominous for the octopus: Paul the psychic octopus has predicted Spain will beat Germany but its days may be numbered as angered Argentinan fans have threatened to cook it in a paella."

I kept on laughing until tears came into my eyes...I think I'm sick...laughing over paella with a psychic octopus..

  14. Magiging maganit ang meat nya....LOL. Mababali lang ang mga ngipin ng Argentinians. It's Paul's way of getting back at them.

  15. Paul better escape before he gets caught and served in paella...he could probably predict the day when that will happen *wink*

  16. Paul, the Octopus seer, does it again! Against all odds, it correctly predicted that Spain will beat Germany in the semis.

  17. hmm....now what are the odds of that?

btw Tochie...did Paul never make a wrong prediction at all? I assume this is not the first time he has done this...or is it just in this World Cup year?

  18. Di ko alam, Cat. Di ko kasi sya ka-close, hehehehe... Dito ko rin lang nga sa World Cup nakilala sya.

  19. Practically kasi, all of the game experts, analysts, etc. were saying that Germany is really a far superior team than Spain, in terms of technique, stamina, world cup performance, etc. So when this octopus pointed (with one of his tentacles) to a Spain win, they thought, "we're crazy to be believe and follow an octopus' predictions, convincing ourself that his movement were anything related to the game of football." In the end, they were eating their words (not the octopus, hehehe...)

  20. *imagines Paul pulling his eyelid with one of his tentacles and sticking his tongue out (if he has one)*

  21. bah...even if di kayo close baka pwede pa-autograph with his 4th tentacle?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I can imagine by now, he's such a celebrity, mahirap na sya ma-reach sa kahit alin sa mga tentacles nya :-)

    ReplyDelete
  23. di naman kaya psychological to?

for Spain, maybe they believed in it..whereas Germany naman na kinabahan..kaya ayon..taob...

  24. This must be one truly amazing octopus - not only can it make accurate predictions, marunong pa syang mag-psychologize!

  25. if you have 8 arms este tentacles....anything is possible...suerte daw yung 8...lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. Paul, you are vindicated and a genius...and imagine...Spain wants to buy you and have you live there...hehehe....

no calamari rings for you *wink*

  27. At may lahing Chinese pa yata itong si Paul, LOL...

    ReplyDelete
  28. maybe its 8 brains....

:-) hence he can make all those predictions...

sadly, Paul is retiring...but then it might be safer...*grin*

  29. WAAAAH!

    Paul is dead....
oh well....he may have 8 tentacles and a propensity for the predictions but apparently, short lives lang ang octopi :-(
