  5. Correct Cat, real ones are green, but in USA, UK and a few other places they use plastic ones that can be reused each year. I saw a Pink one in my brothers house some years ago.

plastic Christmas trees here may vary from green, to white, to green tipped with white (as if it has snow) ...and its only the Christmas lights that they go crazy with...

  7. It gets worse yet Cat, many of them are mounted on an electric pedestal, they revolve slowly and play "Tinny sounding" music. The candles flash in different colours too.

  8. but you can still get those real ones right? or are they being banned?

we've never had a real one here (and I don't want to really also chop one off if ever there was something available here)....aside from plastic ones, there were a couple of years I saw ones made of soap, cigarette paper (the silver one) and other kinds :-)

  9. Understandable especially in a place where they don't normally grow. Here we normally buy one with a root, we plant them in the garden after use, hence my mini forrest.
    lol.

  10. oh dear, my first time being compared to a Christmas tree...I don't know whether to laugh or cry....*wink*

seriously though...so does this mean that you reuse that tree you plant in your garden or just keep doing it every year, thereby having a mini-forest?

  11. Yes, we use them several times until they get to big, then we buy a new one and so on.

  13. There is a slope on the Pali Highway here where there are Norfolk pine trees planted on it. Some good samaritan always dresses up the smallest tree during the Christmas holidays. Really nice!

  20. It always remind me of the song "Little Christmas Tree" by Nat King Cole.

    No one would buy you
    Give yourself to me
