Onsen time!
The water source is Nagasaki's Onsen Yasuragi Ioujima Spring.
Water has calcium, nitrate and chloride. Quantity is 720 liters per minute.
Temperature is 44 degrees Celsius (owowwww!)
Check out their site: http://www.ioujima.jp/
English version in pdf version.
I had a very enjoyable time at the onsen. For one, it was the first time I went all out bare....but the experience is one thing I do not regret though I felt quite self-conscious at the start.
We jumped from one bath to another, indoor and outdoor baths..I liked the outdoor ones since I felt the water temperature was more bearable. From the pictures below, the only thing I did not try was the charcoal fall..but the barrel and even the hottest bath, I made it my goal to dip into.
You are given a big bath towel and a smaller one to bring with you inside. There was also a pack of some Dr. Genome thingie, of which I only used the skin oil packet after the bath. There are baskets and lockers inside, as well as hair dryers, face lotions, sterilized brushes for your use once you finish. I tell you, if I had known it would this good, I would have stayed the whole day until I was literally cooked.
The outdoor baths were nice, and it was probably obvious to the women inside who was the noisiest batch since we giggled, chattered, flapped our towels and moved around frequently. The Japanese children stared at the Filipino children since the latter was chattering excitedly in English (sikat!).
Afterwards we thought about going to another island, but since we still had to eat and finish the picnic food we had bought, I don't think we had enough time.
We went back afterwards to Nagasaki City and continued our adventures.

they didn't say a camera was prohibited, but I don't think it was safe to risk being dragged butt-naked from the bath if I flashed it...it was such a waste...I really wanted a picture of me submerged up to my neck in the barrel bath at least...and the view from the outdoor baths was nice...

better if outside the city....if you go to Kyoto, don't go to the public baths sa ciudad...if I had more time, I'd have checked in an inn north of kyoto...may mga ryokan na may baths sa ganito...

the bed bath was a surprise, but you have hot water running down your back as you lie down here....it was great for my back and somewhat funny thinking of us 7 girls (2 japanese were on the other end) squeezed here...

may barefoot park which functions more of like a therapy, they have sandy paths to walk on through, stony, woody, muddy and plain water...teka I'd give a link so you can have a view of the place, it's in the Black Forest...
