An unexpected text from Caloy said he would be meeting OneAsean buddies Ludette, Al and Liyam at M Cafe 3 pm this afternoon. If I had time and was still in Manila, I was welcome to join them - he said.
Well, hello!
An eyeball (EB) certainly was more exciting than pawing through my things and packing for a trip...that kind of task inevitably leads to cleaning the aparador to luggage to table to...the rest of the living area! Casting aside the thought of my list of errands, I hastily completed what I could and caught up first to Ludette and Caloy chatting amiably outside the cafe as we waited for the others. Little did I know that aside from expecting Al and Liyam to show up...I'd be meeting 2 more people
I've only been familiar with Caloy and Ludette since since I'm not as active in the OneAsean group as I want to be...even if we do share the same interests in traveling and food. But off I went..and at the end of the day, I got to meet and talk to 2 new people I've only talked to in Multiply and 4 new people I've never set eyes on before in my life - Caloy, Ludette, Al, Liyam, Mian and Claire - count 'em!
I would like to thank Caloy for the you-know-what from you-know-where *ehem, ehem* and of course also for the treat and the chance to touch base with these fun people. Although some of their stories were not familiar to me (an offshoot of not keeping up to date), the tidbits about the places and people discussed in the conversation earlier were amusing and worth getting out of the house that rainy afternoon.
Thanks also Ludz for the yummy pili delicacies...and the pastillas (next time I am going to taste some too).
I am looking forward to the posts of those who brought their cameras as mine is a little low-tech ...guys, pa-grab ha?
P.S. btw for my other friends -
OneAsean is a group that is dedicated to promoting the SEA region...I've invited some of you already, and I do hope you can join if you are want to contribute to the promotion not only of our lovely country but the other Southeast Asian nations such as Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Pictures and articles about your travel around these aforementioned countries would be very helpful to other people!

may story pa yang gupit na yan...hehehe...
my a/c broke down sa unit ko...after 2 weeks na di pinalitan pa ng owner, di ko na kaya with just 2 fans (yung isa ang hina..mas may hangin pa ang abaniko which you manually fan yourself with *grin*)
alam mo naman ako..nakaupo lang, pinapawisan na...so I cut my hair last October. if pwede sana nga magpakalbo....
so sa hairdresser salon..naubos pasensya sa akin siguro ng gumugupit..I kept on saying, shorter pa..1 inch pa...1 cm pa..until ayon...hehehe..

photoshoot ng food ang lumabas..hahaha! mas matagal na ikot kami ng ikot around the dishes and drinks being served...it was only later when the plates were almost wiped clean wherein we turned to having ourselves in the starring roles :-)
