Lunch at Italiannis, Greenbelt 3
On Monday of this week, Kuya Jobet :-) texted that Vikas was around and could we meet up with our LT professor and the remaining members of Learning Team 4 here in the Philippines? Monday is usually a manic day for yours truly, so I had to regretfully decline for dinner with them on such short notice. I'm sure though that they would enjoy their own "inuman".
Finally, I got a wake-up call from Jobet that the lunch was going to be today. Since I just got my DSL reconnected, I had ended up catching up on some of my current favorite anime shows online ..and slept around 5 am - consequently, I showed up last at the table, a bit groggy but quite happy to see Vikas who I haven't seen up close and personal since May 2005.
Vikas is still the guy whose sense of comic delivery is impeccable. His true-to-life anecdote over a meal with a praying woman was truly hilarious! I sniggered into my pasta and salad...He was also recounting on how he had talked to Gowri and how Gowri was very up to date about everybody in our batch :-)
Vikas and Jobet had just come from a sit-in arrangement at Prof. Leny's MM09 class that day. Shan was looking quite healthy and slim, which suited him. Prof Leny was still blooming - goes to show that being active physically and mentally is always a plus. I was taken aback with Jobet in his attire, since I usually see him in a neat barong Tagalog.
As for me, since I know Vikas wasn't going to post his pictures at once, I snapped a few shots of the lunch date we had. I hope we get to see Vikas again soon, and that we have more visitors from our batch, as its one good reason we get to share a meal and a nostalgic time together.

Si Jobet mukhang panero pa rin. Si Prof Leni, looking young and hale! Si Vikas, looking leaner and taller?! Si Shan pumayat din, ano ang sikreto? Si Cat, mukha bang pumayat yan?!

Shan is on a diet..I think he had health problems which he talked about last March when we had the lunch also with Jobet and Prof Leny, so he became serious about his food intake...
actually payat sila tingnan sa picture na to..ooops!

hehehe...yep, Sanjay comes in once in a while and surprises you...I think he and Aloke are in my network..but they are not always as active as us..
