While everybody else was all agog over watching or discussing Manny Pacquiao's fight with Oscar De La Hoya that day, I was typing away furiously on a borrowed Mac and going though Multiply and emails. I prefer to skip the action and just hear the results as I do not really enjoy watching this sport.
I am very proud though of the Filipino boxers (from Flash Elorde to the latest batch of boxers) as it is a shining star on our otherwise barren Philippine sports landscape of glory.
After a while of going on like this, guess who would come strolling by and join me in my casual sprawl on the sofa?
Without so much as a by-your-leave, Bandido leapt into my free lap (I had just put the laptop on the table for safety) and didn't pay any mind nor yowl when I squeezed him halfway through in my crouch to reach the camera on the table and not dislodge him.
While I was somewhat honored that he deigned me cushy enough to serve as his personal bed, I was wrinkling my nose a bit as he obviously came from a meal - the fishy smell emanating from him kind of spoiled the bonding moment.
I really wanted to ask Sir B to take a picture of us both, but he was lost somewhere in the bowels (or towers) of his house, probably engrossed in the Pacquiao fight too.
Oh well, just stroking the cat sort of de-stressed me, and stroking off his zillions of hairs from my clothes and skin after he left was also sort of calming too :-) if not somewhat perverted...*wink*

This series of photos is proof incontrovertible that Bandido is my Christmas decor vandal! And another Cat is his indulgent accomplice! Tsk tsk. =p

the kiddie tree!!! guia, if guela was there... di nya tantanan ang pag kuha ng ornaments mo...dito nga, nagulat na lang ako... lahat ng purple [fave color nya] christmas balls ko nasa loob ng ref. =P

LOL! Sayang nga that Guela won't be able to see my actual tree. What I do is that I let any kid who comes to touch (but not get) the ornaments. Then he/she is entitled to get one candy – I hung chocolate & peppermint candy canes and lollipops that I replenish as the kids get their choices. One candy per visit lang, kaya my grandkids are bitin. First thing in the morning, they go to the tree to get the candy for the day, hehe.
But some mommies (note: daughters-in-law) sometimes let their kids snitch an ornament or two for their kid to play with. Oh well, indulgent accomplices, just like Kat here. ^_^

I just let him do it para ma-pitture-ran..tapos I shooed him away...may video pa nga ako na he was playing with the package underneath the tree..pero kc weird yon kc feet ko ang ginamit ko to stroke his back..so di ko na ipost..hehehe...

tip: just stroke his spine a couple of times and baka siguro nakikiliti sya but he rolls over on the floor...sayang wala akong video nito kc natuwa ako sa kanyang ikot from one end of the room to another...

I think this cat is also used to having people take his pictures.....pose ng pose sa harapan ko eh..didn't even blink when I used the flash in some instances (though I tried to minimize it)....gusto lang talga magpa-pitture!

I wonder, but on my case I did like cats when I was in the Phils. we grew up with lots of pets, from ducks to chicks, to pussycats to dogs...minsan pa nga, butiki..hehehe...but now, when I see cats here, roaming around the garden we have to drive them away, cause we know they're chasing birds...
anyways, apart from anything, you look cute caring for a cat...!

actually, I never had a pet cat.....I only had pet dogs, rabbit (binigay when we visited my dad's friends' house), roosters, hens, baby chicks, goats (binigay as bday gift), ducks (binigay as bday gift), turkey (binigay para lutuin hehehe), parrot (napadpad sa aming bahay), rainbow fishes, doves (nakuha sa wedding), myna bird, horse, pig (pang-lechon), carabao (destino sa farm), hamster, goldfishes, janitor fishes, silver arowana, gold arowana...but not all at the same time :-)
I like dogs the best...I have had only interactions with cats of my grandma when she was alive....after that wala na..so its lucky I guess that ok naman kami ni Bandido and Mar...
thanks Nonzki...I can't have any pets in the place I am staying..so eto...really happy when I get to see animals...mahilig ako sa zoo visits :-)

how cute to hear from you...oo, we even also had rabbits way back then, also here in Germany,then we took care of a leguan, my kids are allergic to hairs of animals, especially that from cats, we have two aquariums and would like to have a baby turtle one day, hehee..
you know it feels like being kids on the block talking about pets and it feels good talking with you about this..nakakatuwa..
Julian would like to have a duck, ang cute daw kasi maglakad...hahaah..

hay naku, naawa ako at ang mommy ko most of the time, so yung chickens, goat, pig, ilang beses na-delay ang ax of judgement on their necks...mwahaha!

turtle would be ok, pero I heard it really gets bigger and bigger hehehe..I heard of one friend who kept one in his bathroom..I think one day it just became too big...pero ok sana nga may turtle..hmm..isip-isip..quiet sya..am sure papasa sa rules dito sa building namin..kaso pano when i go away on a trip? mas ok yata sawa..pwede feed a chicken, tapos good for 2 weeks, di muna sya kakain..hehehe
cute nga ang duck..when they are small...I actually received a pair of ducks for my birthday..nakupo...in less than a year, ang dami ko nang ducks sa amin..
galit yung mommy ko kc, may trip yung ducks na mag hop sa azotea namin and don mag-do their business *ehem*..
kaya once in a while pina-roast ni daddy ang mga ducks ko..hahaha..in the end I had to give the whole clan back to the retainer who gave them to us...kc wala ng space...esp na may geese pa naman sa kapitbahay..which made me run everytime I was walking the common road...takot ma-kagat...

At Greenbelt chapel in Makati, there are about 7 ducks waddling around. It is an amusing sight to see.

Just goes to show how drawn I am to them. =] They go around together and I really stop (and amuse myself) and count them everytime. Sometimes they are only six. Naglamyerda siguro ang isa.
