Sasebo

At around 6 pm my feet were beginning to wonder if it would get any rest. However, though we were concerned about going back on the last train to Nagasaki City itself, it seemed a waste if we would not stay up till the very end to watch the grand fireworks show later that night.
We weren't sure about what time the show really would be since by 6 pm we had parked ourselves near the harbor with no whiff of fireworks in the air. The three of us were pushing each other to inquire the time from the locals - either fellow tourists or those who were manning the restaurants and stalls around the area. Finally after some halting Japanese and arm flailing on my side to indicate what I wanted to know, I found out it would be by 8 pm yet, that would mean we had to have a quick dinner and a mad dash for the train station afterwards with tons of people.
For those who want to be at ease, let me advise you to just stay in one of the hotels in the theme park itself. That way, you wouldn't have to rush.

hmm...now that you have asked that..I got to thinking maybe its because of the trade being done in Nagasaki...it was the only open port in Japan for some time...so Dutch, Chinese merchants and sailors were the ones allowed..and they paid tribute to it...
or maybe its because it looks nice on the dock..hahaha!
ah yes, I have another video where we did get to ride a galleon and went around a short cruise around the bay...
then we got invited to climb up on the bow (?) of the ship...I don't know the correct term for that...and we clambered up that part which was sticking out the water...ok din...though one Indian couple made the climb 3 times I think...excited yata...hehehe...

hi Oselle, thanks for staying up..unfortunately bagsak na ako dahil sa pagod...though I did manage to get up early and naka-YM pa tayo kahit konti..sayang lang di nakaya ang skype sa Mac nila...

super gulo, as in may umuupo para makita ang YM nyo..tapos may kumausap kc may dumating..tapos may iba naman uupo..ako napadpad din kung saan-saan..sayang nga walang webcam...hehehe
