Fukushima's territory
Ibaraki or thereabouts
boundary ng Narita
basta Japan!
After dropping by for last minute shopping at 100-yen store with Helen-san we traveled to her sister Lisa-san's home. If you ask Helen-san, her sister's place is quite far...like the boondocks or something...
Toshi-san - Lisa-san's danna-sama (ehem, tama ba?) is a very nice and smiling man, who passed around the soup he had been cooking. Oishii! Just the thing to cap off a long road trip on a cold day. *slurp, slurp, slurp*
I had to catch up on my email upon arrival since I was called to work by accident..and I was joking that we should not go out for dinner anymore because I was already full of the soup but I think their children (Ryohei, Daiji and Mai-chan) would have rebelled because they had been looking forward to eating out *grin*
And so, we set out and the pictures can attest to how much food we had consumed - is this what they call sushi overload?
To those who know me - up front I will say, that pile is not all mine! I scaled down my appetite.....first impressions you know! *wink*
(okay, okay marami-rami nga rin...*surrenders*)

obviously..its not just sushi here (of different varieties..though I didn't see blowfish)...but lovely desserts and cakes too!
and Japanese cakes and pastries are nothing to sneeze at...I can still taste the strawberry cake ....from another restaurant in Japan..

It is "Tere-tere bosu" - some sort of "agimat"(he-he) which you hang around the house normally sa windows para hindi umulan the next day.

it was really filling..and since I was a bit hungry after the ride (well, no surprise to those who know me and my bottomless stomach that time)...it made me say I was full enough to skip dinner..*grin*
luckily they didn't listen to me..and we proceeded...

hi Ted, thanks!
it seems that when I go to cold countries, that is the only accessory I have...LOL!...so all my pictures get pretty boring with me outfitted in the same stuff...
